This proved to be my best meet by far. I finished the day off with 3 ATPRs (Squat, Deadlift, and Total) and a ton of new hardware.

🥇- 90kg Open
🥇- 90kg Junior (20-23)

🥇- 90kg Open Deadlift
🥇- 90kg Junior (20-23) Bench
🥇- 90kg Junior (20-23) Deadlift

I also came home with Best Overall Male Lifter!!

Had a ton of support from everybody, but a special thank you to Coach Will ( @wneel88 ) for being the brains behind the whole operation and turning the squad into a well oiled machine. Congrats to everyone on the team, we did well!

Lastly, I wanted to say congratulations to my dad. He came into King of the North with a bench only meet under his belt. This was his first full power meet. He ended the day with a 268lbs squat, 248lbs bench, and a 369lbs deadlift. He also earned the “Best Grind” award for the competitor who had the longest, and most grueling rep.

Fun experience. 10/10 would do it again.

10/10 would do it again, there were highlights and lowlights but nothing near as bad as the Green Bay Packers collapse in the second half of their one and only playoff game of 2026. I competed in 2 powerlifting meets, lived in Laramie for the summer, went to Seattle to witness Ellie become a certified slay queen, shed a couple tears over the Dallas Cowboys being mid for another season, explored a ton of abandoned buildings, totaled my mom’s car by hitting an elk, watched Gracie (somehow) graduate from high school and decided to switch my major from CJ, to Exercise Science instead. *Definitely not all in that order, but you get the point* There’s probably plenty more I’m forgetting, but to sum it all up; yay 2025.
