POLAR PLUNGE 🌨️💖

Last week, Delta Zeta participated in the National Student Speech and Hearing Association’s Polar Plunge! We are so appreciative of the opportunity to do this, as it supports the cause of Special Olympics.

Our Sister, Melati Free, is the President of NSSLHA, and wanted to share her experience this past year:

“This year, I’ve had the opportunity to serve as President of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA). Each year, NSSLHA hosts the Murray State Campus Polar Plunge to support Special Olympics Kentucky. We invite Greek organizations, residential halls, and many other student organizations to participate. As a Delta Zeta, it meant the world to me to see how my sisters supported me throughout Polar Plunge! Whether by fundraising, donating, or simply showing up to cheer us on. Words can’t describe how special it was to feel the love and support outside of a typical sorority event. I truly witnessed our motto, “Love that is ever steadfast,” come to life this past week, and I’m so proud to be a Delta Zeta!🩷🐢”

DONT TOUCH THE ROCKS!!!

it takes 70-100 years for 1 cubic inch of stalagmite/stalactite to grow, touching the walls of the cave puts oils over the rocks not allowing them to continue taking minerals from the water and therefore stopping growth for about 1,000 years
