“I Know the End” is available now everywhere you listen to music! :)

this song began a few years ago when i was feeling down about music and life in general. i wrote the words “i know the end” as if i actually knew what was gonna happen next. i didn’t, but depending on when i would sing it, the meaning changed. even still, we talk about this song with very different views each time.

we sent it to natalie closner who helped us punch it up in the best way :) thank you friend for adding your magic to this!

recorded on day two in evergreen colorado - live to tape

no one tells you that mental health struggles make every day life seem like too much, and taking care of yourself becomes an impossibility. this song is about the day where I felt myself coming out of a season in which laundry felt like the most impossible thing to do.
depression has a way of taking everything from you, convincing you that it’s your fault and that it won’t get better. but we don’t have to bear the weight alone.

this song is for anyone who needs a friend to tell them that it does get better and actually mean it. you are seen and understood. that day, I had the passing thought that time spent struggling with mental health was a waste, which is not true. time’s not wasted when it’s spent. laundry song is out now ❤️

Do you know that feeling when you think about a memory ? I wish there was a word for it — almost like the color that a memory feels like.

I guess it’s kind of like you can transport back to the taste of something, how it felt to look at yourself in the mirror during those times, and whether or not there was anxiety behind your breath.

Right now, it feels like a light burnt orange. Everything seems to be a whisper, and I’m not feeling pressure to say the right thing. Rather, I’m noticing the cats in the windows as I walk by and the lack of rush i’m in.

Because I’m already succeeding—at living simply.
