“Do you think amethysts can be the souls of good violets?” - L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

I was inspired by Gracie’s middle name ‘Violet’ for this shot. I love making creative shoots really individual, we spend time talking through ideas and inspirations whilst tailoring it around the dancer.

“Memory is more indelible than ink” - Anita Loos

There’s something about the way the silk moves in this shot combined with the colour scheme that reminds me of a restaurant called squid ink in Cornwall - which is a really small world as it’s the town where @gracieviolet_dancer is from!

Gracie is wearing a Jade Aretha skirt (single circle). Jade is a really gorgeous fabric, you can see how it ripples and floats. And - just saying - it’s not the easiest of fabrics to work with!! ✂️🧵 but so worth it 🙂

“Sunrise paints the sky with pinks and the sunset with peaches” - Vera Nazarian

Waking up for a 5:30am sunrise was so worth it... Location shooting this morning in a place very close to my heart. I’ll be posting BTS footage from today soon - today was my last day on holiday so I owed it to my dog to spend the day with her on the beach! Keep your eye on the feed ✨
