If you have any issues with the interior decorating of this country estate, including “the vermilion reds or the germolene pinks we may choose”, Lord Farindon asks that you not take it up with the National Trust but rather that those reservations be “laid fairly and squarely at my door”. Part family estate, part public grounds, part falling under the jurisdiction of the National Trust (kinda), Lord Farindon works hard to maintain a country-house setting “that will appeal to those who want to be spared the depressing conformity and bloodless feeling of so many houses now open to the public.” And for that, we ask, “Where do we get our tickets”? 📸 Massive thanks to @jakevision and @graemec_d for these photos, and if anyone has a shot of these “vermilion reds” or “germolene pinks” that Lord Farindon speaks of...please send them our way! #accidentallywesanderson #awa #buscotpark #oxfordshire
