POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Continuing my tribute to Grambling’s 100th season.

Shirt five: Wilbert Ellis, Eddie Robinson, and Frederick C. Hobdy. Three coaches, three sports, one standard. This one’s called “Three the Hard Way,” a nod to the 1974 film where three legends banded together to protect their people. These three did the same thing on a different battlefield, building a legacy that still stands a century later.

And the Tigers took it the hard way too. Jackson State came in undefeated, and it was a battle to the final whistle. 45-38, and we got the W.

Est. 1901. A legacy worth protecting.

Started something new this season. Grambling’s athletic program is turning 100, so I’m wearing a custom tee to every game I attend this year, each one honoring a different piece of that history.

First up: Coach Eddie Robinson and R.W.E. Jones, the president who hired him in 1941 and set everything in motion. Wore it for the Clark Atlanta opener and the response was all love.

This is going to run all season, each one a different piece of Grambling history.

Drop a comment: whose story should the next shirt tell? Coach, player, sport, alum, doesn’t matter the era.

We can accomplish anything together. What a great group of women in Austin here. We have found our tribe. And we get together to break bread, and have continued these relationships for 20 years. #womensupportingwomen #austin #tribe #authenic #womenhelpingwomen

One of our favorite Austin Women in Technology (AWT) traditions is recognizing a Boss Lady of the Month, and for December, we are so proud to celebrate Carlisha Robinson. ✨

Carlisha has brought so much wisdom, leadership, and generosity to our community through her workshops, panels, and mentorship. We are incredibly grateful for the impact she continues to make at AWT.

Carlisha is a C-suite executive with over 30 years of experience across technology industries, including IT, intellectual property, and retail. Most recently, she served as Chief Product and Customer Officer at Beyond Inc., leading product strategy, user experience, and customer experience across digital commerce platforms. A product leader at heart, her passion for people, products, and problem-solving inspired her to found her product and technology consulting company, CBR Ventures.

Carlisha is also a dedicated mentor to several AWT members through our mentorship program, and her guidance continues to shape and inspire our community. We truly don’t know what we’d do without her. 💜

👏 Please join us in celebrating Carlisha and thanking her for all she does for AWT!
