I went in expecting an exhibition.
I walked out thinking differently.

Leonardo wasn’t just creating art —
he was studying everything around him with intention.

There’s something quietly powerful about spaces like this.
They slow you down.
They make you look again.

And maybe that’s the point.

Not everything needs to be rushed.
Not everything needs to be loud.

Some things are meant to be observed properly.
If you are in Canberra then donot miss this.

Stepped into something extraordinary tonight at the preview of Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius in @visitcanberra @nationaltriangle

Set against the glow of @enlighten_canberra this incredible immersive experience has transformed the Parkes Place lawns into a world of art, invention and imagination. It feels fitting that during a festival celebrating creativity and big ideas, we’re invited inside the mind of history’s greatest genius.

Created by @grande_experiences in collaboration with @museoleonardodavincifirenze this is not a traditional exhibition. It’s a fully interactive journey. You engage with his machines. You explore his sketches, his engineering, his relentless curiosity in a way that feels immediate and alive.

Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius brings history to life in a way that captivates all ages.

Tickets are on sale now.

🌻”How lovely yellow is, it stands for the sun” ☀️
For Vincent Van Gogh, yellow represented the sun, warmth and intense emotion 💛

I felt this deeply last Thursday evening when @thepodcastlady invited me to the opening of Van Gogh Alive @winchestersciencecentre

Immersed in the Planetarium was like being wrapped in a cosy blanket of Van Gogh, surrounded by colour, soaking up not only his art but the intensity in his emotions, his inspiration. It left me wanting more, looking to delve his art and his story - and this is what every great exhibition and experience should do right?

Our time in the Planetarium was followed by some mindful art, guided sessions to draw our own Van Gogh ✨I think we did great.

🌌For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but seeing the stars makes me dream
-Vincent Van Gogh

Van Gogh Alive is at The Winchester Science Centre from 22 January until 22 March 🎨

How does it feel when art and science come together? We often overlook the chance to pause and appreciate the countless breakthroughs born from the fusion of art, science, and a dash of human creativity. From the Renaissance era to the soulful notes of gospel on a piano, all these are intricately linked by the blend of art and science.
