Los ciclos de la gruta by Cuban artist Brenda Cabrera now in our collection.
Unwrapped, installed and finally home!
I love how the work brings together ideas of transformation, identity, and memory while creating this world that feels completely its own.
Thank you @brenda._.cabrera for your art and @witartgallery for making it possible!

parisian meets punk 🥀🪭 family room reveal! situated off our dine-in kitchen, this room is the beating heart of our home, so comfort & functionality had to take precedence when it came to designing it (read: balancing my love for visually impactful design with my audiophile husband’s love for big TVs & speakers— & no, we are not a frame TV household). The inevitability of monolithic tech aside, we decided to commission a painting by one of my favorite artists, @janedashley , to give the room a true focal point over the mantel since the room layout didn’t require a TV there. Jane brought to life a stunning large-scale painting brimming with symbolic imagery that’s meaningful to me, while remaining faithful to her signature playful artistic style that captivated me in the first place. We then pulled some of the colors from the painting (which itself referenced a palette I’d created through various textiles in the room) & translated them into our decidedly irreverent mosaic terrazzo fireplace surround to tie it all together. I still have more plans for this room, including something fun for the row of arches that separate it from the kitchen, as well as sourcing side tables, more art for the walls, & hopefully a special piece of sculptural art at some point, too.

L E T i G R E 🦁 Guest bedroom reveal! Confession: I designed this entire room around a Persian rug I found on Marketplace. From stripes of all colors & multiple scales and vibrant trim inspired by the @houseofhackney pillow on the bed, to chinoiserie touches like refinished thrifted faux bamboo nightstands & a pagoda-style mirror, & a whimsical painting by one of my favorite artists, the room reads a bit like a choose-your-own-adventure novel. The pièce de résistance? An Hermès scarf my mom gave me years ago, hand sewn to a mat and framed in a fabulous bubble gum pink acrylic frame by local frame shop, @grandframeinc . The juxtapositions of old & new & bold & nuanced strike a balance that, I think, feels both welcoming and unexpected.

It’s taken me a while to post this…
Back in March, we celebrated 40 incredible women through the most soul filling, emotional, and powerful night of my career — our very first 40 Over 40 Exhibit. Over 100 people showed up. We laughed, we cried, we honored stories that deserved to be seen and heard.
But shortly after that unforgettable night, I experienced a personal loss in my family. The kind that knocks the wind out of you. So I stepped back. Went quiet. Grieved.
And now, with a full heart and steady breath, I’m slowly finding my way back.
This exhibit wasn’t just about portraits. It was about transformation. Belonging. Celebration. It was about women finally being seen for all that they are; strong, soft, beautiful, imperfect, radiant.
To every woman who stood in front of my lens… thank you.
To every person who showed up to witness this moment… thank you.
To everyone who’s been cheering quietly behind the scenes… I see you.
I’m back now; more grounded, more grateful, and more ready than ever to keep building this movement.
The next chapter is unfolding. And if you’re feeling the call… come with me.
