It’s pretty nerve racking when you got a bunch of gangsters watching you paint their bro…

Luckily they were happy and I live to paint another day 😆 nah honoured to do it! Shot for the hospitality 🙏

Didn’t get shots of the full wall (finished at dark) but shoutout to the brothers @moetara.markings @7th_letter_cipher

Legendary status.

Truly honoured to have the cover of my latest album, BRON, painted on home turf.

Only a few days ago, @quinnyhendrix reached out after hearing the album and said he wanted to contribute a mural somewhere. With the help of some local legends and a few real ones behind the scenes, it became a reality.

To see something that started as an idea now standing proudly in the place that raised me is hard to put into words. This album carries so much of my journey, my whānau, my community, and the people who helped shape me into who I am today.

Thinking about all the people we’ve lost along the way, and all the ones still fighting battles nobody sees. If you’re going through it right now, please know you’re loved, you’re valued, and you’re enough.

This one’s for the community.
This one’s for those no longer with us.
This one’s for home. 💙🏡🕊️

Highest praise to @quinnyhendrix

March 17-19 2023, the @tattoohuiaotearoa brought together a bunch of talented artists both nationally and internationally recognised, outside was a few live acts including a set from @komacuzzy and Heps of 4Corners. On the Graff side was a battle of modern day titans of old and new, mixing OGz like @fdknscrew and @gbakcrew , with younger generations @a2dcrew and @riserscollective while all absolutely killed with their own flavour, only 1 winner could prevail. The FOREVER DEF KINGS NEVER SURRENDER, ran by @mattybro_art @mistere_sauni and @montycollins_tattoos

FDKNS has always been a force to be recconed with, and has some of the country’s eldest statesmen of the scene if I’m not mistaken!!!

Massive shout outs to the rest of the brothers, A2D (WE NEED HOAKS OUT OF RETIREMENT), OTR CREW and GBAK for doing what you do best!!!

What do you think about having more battles around the motu?

What’s your favorite battle or graff event you’ve been to so far?

headed up North to be a part of a big art colab for Stef the Māori. It was a cruisey trip. It was pretty much drive there, paint, sleep then come home.

Stef kept everyone fed all week with his beautiful kai. Wish I was able to stick around for more. It was perfect timing though, getting back home before the weather got crazy.

Shout out to the bro Stef for putting on a dope week of painting and to all the artists I met. Everyone pumped out some amazing mahi.

chur for watching
