Many hands have touched this structure, and that’s one of the most beautiful things about it. Natural building is a community based endeavor. You can do it alone sure, but it becomes that much sweeter when you gather a group of individuals to all imprint your energy into the build. We are much more impactful together than alone.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” - African Proverb

Together we will go much further.

Building an educational center does not succeed unless we have students to teach and join in on our builds. We are so incredibly grateful for each and every hand that has graced us with their presence these last few months. We would not be where we are if it were not for you. We recognize that we can’t grow without YOU! You are helping us pave the way to make a lasting impact for many generations to come!

Together, we are here to CREATE, EDUCATE & COLLABORATE! ✨

Yours Truly,
The Mojave Center Crew

Woah woah WOAH! We built a dome home! In just seven days time, every moment divine. It was an honor to rise up from the earth with 15 like minded folks who showed up ready to work. We came from all ages, awakening at different stages but with a mutual goal to promote hope. We now have this functional piece of art representing love, long days, and inclusive space. The land is coming together in front of my eyes, as the structures arise, I gasp everyday as if it were the greatest suprise. Our hands look wise, and with silt coated eyes we recognize that we are creating much more than the infrastructure. We are building connection, collaboration, and culture.

Thankful for the incredibly solid crew that made this dream come true. Thankful for the earth that fills me with worth. 💜

A celebration is in order! This crew ROCKED IT! In just 6 days we built a small dwelling in the Superadobe Dome method!

And what’s even sweeter... the full moon rose just as we were capping the dome! How could it get any better?!

This is the first completed dome on the Mojave Center property & this one will definitely go down in our history archives!

We are SO proud and will revel in these memories forever!!! Grateful doesn’t even begin to sum it up!✨

Dome Hack: When setting your first pillow bags, always tamp them together! This ensures that your window form doesn’t move on you when you tamp. The pillow bags will compact and create pressure on the form keeping it perfectly in place! Tamping together will also help keep the bags level & even!

After you set two pillow bags on each side, the form will be snug in place with no need to tamp at the same time anymore!

Happy Tamping!

Keep following along for more tips and tricks! ✨🧱

Three years ago this week, we floated around on a cloud of love surrounded by friends and family. We paraded, we sang, we danced our asses off. This amazing community of humans still keeps us buoyed through all the ups and downs. And I’m grateful every damn day to be on this ride with Andy who listens and laughs and is basically the best boyscout-artist I’ve ever known.
