All good things must come to an end… or at least take a break. Our final review of this epic pizza journey was yesterday and it truly did not disappoint! @pizzagracebham lived up to the hype and we loved it. Here’s how they scored out:

Crust: 9.3/10
Sauce: 8.7/10
Cheese: 8.6/10
Value: 7.2/10
Overall Taste: 9.2/10

Total Average: 8.6/10

We understand why our colleagues at @michelinguide liked this place so much. The crust is truly elite, some of the best we have ever had! There were approximately 8.6 pounds of pepperoni on the pepperoni pizza so that was awesome. You can just tell this pizza was on another level. Pretty expensive but you get what you pay for. Also they charged $3 for a side of ranch so that was lame. But all in all, this place is amazing. You gotta go!

This is the end for now of the YL Pizza Guys. We will be back when the guys are back from college for Thanksgiving and Christmas, etc. As long as they keep making pizza, we will keep eating it. In Young Life, we are friends forever, so maybe you’ll be seeing YL Pizza Guys posting for a really long time! It’s been a wild ride, and we are so grateful to the Lord for these friendships. Friendship is one of the greatest gifts God given us! As always, it’s a bad day to be a pizza!

Time is running short before college so we are trying to fit in some final reviews before the fellowship of pizza is broken… today’s quest took us to @rockyspizzabham and it did not disappoint! Here’s how they scored out:

Crust: 8.2/10
Sauce: 8/10
Cheese: 8.3/10
Value: 7.2/10
Overall Taste: 9.3/10

Total Average: 8.2/10

This was top 3 best tasting pizza we’ve had! Taste was tough to beat and we also loved the cheese. Our only knock on it was that there was a little too much sauce and toppings, and it kind of overpowered the crust. Less sauce and more cheese might have given it a higher score. The vibes in this place were awesome and we had great service. Definitely worth your time to go and give it a try! We’ll see how many more reviews we can squeeze in before college comes calling… stay tuned!

The heat is turning up in bham and so are we… 2 posts in one week! This installment of the calzone campaign took us to @sanpeggiospizza_official and it was killer. Here’s how they scored out:

Crust: 7.8/10
Sauce: 7.6/10
Cheese: 8.8/10
Value: 9.2/10
Overall Taste: 8.8/10

Total Average: 8.44/10

This one is more of a chain than most of our other reviews but it was really good. This was nearly the best value of any pizza we have tried and the cheese and taste were truly elite! The thin crust was the favorite for us and in a wild turn of events one of us got a calzone this time. Peep the last pic to see our new MERCH!! It is indeed a bad day to be a pizza.

Our next installment of the slice search took us to Napoli in Vestavia and here’s how they shook out:

Crust: 8.6/10
Sauce: 8/10
Cheese: 8.1/10
Value: 6.7/10
Overall taste: 8.3/10

Total Average: 7.9/10

The best thing about this pizza was probably the crust and it also tasted good, but most everything else left us wanting more… probably our lowest value yet cause it’s a small pizza for more money than it should be but the pizza did at least taste good! Not a part of our ranking but the guy who served us was super weird. Maybe he was having an off day… this pizza wasn’t exactly bad, but the overall experience was pretty mid.

This weeks Hot Honey Hijinx took us to @donatos_vestavia_hills and by golly it was amazing. Here’s how they scored out:

Crust: 8.5/10
Sauce: 7.5/10
Cheese: 8.7/10
Value: 8.5/10
Overall Taste: 8.7/10

Total Average: 8.4/10

This one ranked real high for us! The stars of this show were the cheesecake the taste. It’s so good and easy to crush the whole thing. The thin crust is great. One of the things we really appreciated was that they pile this pizza up with toppings, no skimping over there. Sauce is pretty sweet if you’re into that kind of thing. All in all? You should try this for sure!

We are BACK like we never left after a busy month of graduation and trips and best friend stuff! This edition of the pepperoni pal-ship brought us to Salvatore’s and this is how they scored out:

Crust: 7.6/10
Sauce: 8.1/10
Cheese: 8.7/10
Value: 8/10
Overall Taste: 8.4/10

Total Average: 8.2/10

We liked this place and the prevailing opinion was that it was definitely “solid”. The cheese and the overall taste were the main winners here as this pizza was definitely tasty! We don’t have a category for it but the biggest knock we had was that the toppings feel like they could completely slide off at any time and it was pretty floppy. It’s worth trying for sure and they have lots of things on the menu besides pizza!
