Good people. Good conversations. Good coffee. A whole lot to think about.

Spent a few days in Nashville last week for THINQ 2026, and it was a gift!

Got to learn from some incredible thinkers and leaders wrestling with the intersection of faith and culture.

From AI and technology to creativity, parenting, discipleship, community, and the future of the Church.

A few things I’m walking away with:

→ We’re made for more than consuming content.

→ Information isn’t the same as transformation.

→ Community requires loving people we don’t get to choose.

→ Creativity, play, and imagination are part of what makes us human.

→ Following Jesus is about more than attending a gathering. It’s about becoming a different kind of person.

And beyond the conference…

Got to stay with some longtime Eastsiders, catch up with a buddy over coffee, make new friends, and explore Nashville.

Some of the best moments happened outside the sessions.

Grateful for the people, the conversations, and the reminder that connection leads to transformation.

There’s a lot to be hopeful about!

Meet Grant Skeldon 👋

When Grant came to faith and was discipled just two weeks later, it shaped everything about his ministry. He's the Next Gen Director for THINQ and author of The Passion Generation, which has helped thousands of pastors reach, raise, and retain the next generation. He lives in Nashville and preaches at Way Church. He has a passion for uniting diverse and dynamic young leaders to radically reach the next generation.

From meeting new friends at Next Gen to talking to Lyft drivers about Jesus… Thinq 2026 was incredible🙌

Super thankful that 30 from my family at @theacademyatdistrict and @districtdotchurch got to experience these last few days! God is so good!

Highlights:
• Our Academy/Thinq video was featured!!
• Met the sweetest London friends after escaping the rain
• Line dancing with new friends
• Street evangelizing with my Academy graduates
• Finding out creativity and prayer lights up the same part of the brain
• so many conversations about @_tapstry

Thank you @thinqmedia team for the heart, intention, and encouragement you pour into this event!

My brain is humming. My notebook is full. And I’m so excited for what God has for us next

2 years ago, I took a team of high schoolers to Thinq and in a year, we were hosting a Thinq Local Conference 🙌 So proud of these young leaders!!

We need to get back to this.

@grantskeldon, our Next Gen director, spoke about what different generations really need from each other in this ever-changing culture, and invited the chronologically superior to believe God is bigger than the problems the next generation is facing.

Kingdom over castle. That is our hope and plan in launching Kingdom Night. A night dedicated to bringing about Gods purpose for the people in this city. Tonight we launch this Monthly Rhythm alongside @thinq_media at 7 PM @nashvillefirst - continuing on the first Friday of every month.

We will then send people out partnering with @fireplacenashville to share this good news Jesus has for the city. We hope to see you there!
