Not the result I wanted but first comp at blue belt didn’t go too bad. Lost both my matches but I felt confident and my mental was on point. Other guys just had a better night. Still had fun and learned a lot and I’m thankful for everyone on my team that showed up to compete, coach and support. Congratulations to everybody that brought home a medal for the gym tonight you guys deserve every bit of it 🤙🏻

Prof. Brian Ruscio is one of the first instructors reviewed on GrappleGrade — has been shaping students for over a decade in Mount Dora, Florida.

Students consistently mention his knowledge, structure, and the environment he builds — safe, welcoming, and focused on real growth.

If you’re near Mount Dora and looking to start or level up in BJJ or wrestling… this is someone worth training with.

Have a coach like this?

If you’ve trained with an instructor you respect, take 30–60 seconds to leave a quick review — it helps more than you think.

And if your instructor isn’t listed yet, add them and give them the recognition they deserve.
