🚨 PART 2: THE COACHES HAVE A DECISION TO MAKE… 🥊👀

Yesterday you saw everything that went wrong.

Now you get the coaches’ point of view.

And somehow, the conversation has turned to…

NICKY.

Here’s the problem:

He hasn’t been in the gym ALL SUMMER.

He hasn’t been training.

And we’re talking about putting him in the ring on ONE WEEK’S NOTICE. 😳

Is that enough time?

Can we get him ready?

SHOULD WE EVEN TRY?

The coaches definitely don’t all see it the same way… 😂

So now we’re putting it to YOU.

🥊 DO YOU WANT TO SEE NICKY FIGHT?

Comment “LET NICKY FIGHT” if you want to see us try to pull this off. 👇🔥

Because at this point…

WHAT ELSE COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? 😂🥊

🚨 ONE ROUND. ONE STATEMENT. A NIGHT WE’LL NEVER FORGET. 🥊🔥

Last night, @nolanbrosboxing gave us the opportunity to step into the legendary Chevalier Theatre, for one of their legendary events, and what happened next was a moment that will stay with all of us at Sonny’s for a very long time.

Alex Bergen made his professional boxing debut… and ended it in the FIRST ROUND. 💥🥊

But the knockout is only a small part of this story.

Alex is a simple man. No excuses. No need for attention. No shortcuts. He comes into the gym, puts his head down, listens, works, and gives everything he has.

And last night, all of that hard work showed.

When the lights came on, the crowd got loud, and it was finally time to make that walk as a professional fighter, Alex was ready.

First professional fight. First professional win. First round knockout.

You couldn’t write it much better than that.

But what made last night even more special was looking around that theater and seeing how many Sonny’s people showed up for him.

That means more to us than you know.

Thank you to every single person who bought a ticket, made the trip, screamed from the crowd, sent a message, shared a post, or supported Alex throughout this camp.

That is what WE NOT ME means.

Thank you to Alex’s opponent for traveling here, stepping through those ropes, and giving Alex the opportunity to compete. There are two fighters taking a risk every time that bell rings, and that deserves respect. 🥊🤝

And thank you to our team.

The people in the corner.

The people in the gym when nobody is watching.

The people who give their time, knowledge, energy, and heart to these fighters every single day.

We win together. We learn together. We grow together.

Alex, enjoy this one.

You earned every second of it.

But something tells us…

this was only the first chapter. 👀🥊

Welcome to the pros. 🐝🥊

🚨 SCAMMER MEETS SCAMMER 🚨

When the internet’s most famous alleged 49er meets Sonny’s very own Nick “The Scammer” Colarusso. 😂😂😂

Daejon allegedly convinced women he played for the San Francisco 49ers.

Nick convinces people he’s going to start roadwork on Monday around the Wakefield lake.

One allegedly faked an NFL career.
The other fakes he forgot his wallet when it’s time to pay for lunch. .

Daejon allegedly had fake investments.

Nick’s been investing in excuses for YEARS. 📈😂

The difference?

Daejon allegedly took $1.3 million.
Nick will scam you out of a protein shake and somehow make YOU feel like you owe HIM money.

Two completely different weight classes.

Same nickname division. 🥊😂

Nick “The Scammer” finally met someone who might be overqualified for the title.

HE TOOK THE ENTIRE SUMMER OFF…
THEN HIS PHONE RANG. 📞🥊

Nicky Grasso wasn’t supposed to be fighting.

After taking the entire summer off, two of our competitors got injured and another had an opponent back out.

With just 8 DAYS NOTICE, Nicky got the call.

He didn’t hesitate.

He came down to the gym and went straight to work.

🏃 Jogging.
🥊 Mitts.
🔥 Sparring.

That was the recipe we fed him all week.

And what you see in this reel is what came out of the oven… A BEAST. 😤

No full training camp. No excuses. Just a young fighter who answered the call and went to work.

Our youth team at Sonny’s is developing into something really special. These kids are learning that boxing is about more than what happens when the bell rings. It’s about being ready when your opportunity comes.

A huge thank you to Nicky’s entire family for the incredible support they continue to give him. Having a family behind these young fighters makes all the difference. (I STILL HATE HIM THO)

8 days. One opportunity. He answered the call.

The future is looking dangerous. 🥊🔥

WE NOT ME.

🥊 THE FIGHT CARD IS SET. THE FIGHTS AT THE FAIR ARE HERE. 🎡🔥

First and foremost, THANK YOU to every coach, fighter, gym, official, and USA Boxing staff member who put their time and effort into making this event happen. Amateur boxing only works when people show up for one another, and we appreciate every single person who did.

Unfortunately, we also had fighters who committed to this card and then backed out. When another fighter has trained, prepared, and counted on your commitment, that matters. If your word doesn’t mean something when it’s time to step through those ropes, you may want to consider a different sport.

To the fighters who trained hard but didn’t get matched, whether because an opponent backed out or we simply couldn’t find the right matchup, we sincerely apologize. We know how much work you put in. We’ll do everything we can to get you matched on our next event. ✊🏼🥊

Now it’s time to focus on the fighters who ARE stepping into that ring.

13 FIGHTS. 🔴🔵
ONE HISTORIC FAIRGROUND. 🎡
LET’S GO.

God bless everyone involved, and let’s keep this train moving. 🚂💨🥊

A real coach doesn’t just train fighters
They find something inside you that you didn’t even know was there

They see the fire before it’s lit
They spark it
Then they feed it day after day until it turns into something unstoppable

It’s not about creating talent
It’s about unlocking it
Pushing you past limits you thought were permanent

Because the right coach doesn’t just build athletes
They build belief
They build discipline
They build something that lasts long after the fight is over

Find the ones who see more in you and don’t let go!

We hit rewind for a second.

Back when the walls were bare.
Back when it was just a vision and a set of keys.
No crowd. No noise. Just belief.

This clip right here?
This is what it looked like when we first opened the doors.

No LED glow.
No packed classes.
No banners.
No handouts.
No whining.
Just work. HARD WORK!

Brick by brick. Round by round.
We built something that became bigger than a gym.

We’ve had hundreds of members walk through those doors.
Some stayed for a season.
Some became family.
All of you helped love this dream into reality.

To the OG’s who remember what it looked like on Day 1…
You didn’t just witness the transformation. You ARE part of it.

To the new members stepping in now…
You’re walking into momentum.
And trust me, the next step we’re about to take?
It’s going to make this rewind look small.

From empty floors to a movement.
From a thought to a standard.

Sonny’s isn’t finished.
We’re just getting warmed up.

She’s got homework tonight.
You’ve got excuses every day.
So… what’s your excuse?

While you’re scrolling, she’s sweating.
While you’re “waiting for motivation,” she’s already working.
No hype. No handouts. No excuses.
Just a high school girl putting grown comfort to shame.

Strength doesn’t ask permission.
Discipline doesn’t care about age.
Work always shows.

Be inspired… or be exposed.
What’s your excuse?

They said it couldn’t be done.
That the crowd wouldn’t show up.
That the lights were too bright.

Funny thing is
The crowd did.

This has never been about proving anyone wrong.
It’s about proving what’s possible.

We do this for the amateur boxers of New England.
For the kids chasing dreams.
For the gyms putting in real work.
For the families, coaches, and corners that believe.

Every show is built with intention.
Respect for the sport.
Respect for our LBC.

To everyone who supports us

Or cheers from the crowd

Special thanks to those that see our posts and do not share or like them, you drive us.

We see you.
We appreciate you.
And we’re just getting started.

When boxing meets bright lights and pressure moments you find out who’s built for it

The High Roller Rumble at Big Night Live was everything we hoped for and more
Top level boxers of all ages genders and experience showed up and brought their absolute best
This is what the sport is about opportunity respect and rising to the moment

Huge thank you to my man Jamie Pollock and the entire Big Night Live crew
When things started going sideways they adjusted on the fly calling audibles like Tom Brady in the pocket
That kind of teamwork and professionalism is what makes events like this possible.

Thank you to @j.buckets for being a huge part of cornering the two fighters, and getting this event in order.

Thank you to BIG @cinelli86 for always being the calming voice.

Proud of every fighter coach and supporter who was part of this night
Let’s see what next year brings because this was only the beginning

Nick Grasso has been our spark plug for years.
Relentless. Aggressive. All gas from the opening bell.

Now he moves to 3-0 with a hard earned win over a very skilled and game opponent trained by one of the best in the sport. We knew from the jump this was going to be a dogfight and it delivered exactly that.

Nothing but respect to his opponent and coach for always being ready and always being game. That is what this sport is about.

Nick keeps finding ways to rise to the moment. Heart. Pressure. Pace.
Let’s see what the future holds for the little spark plug.
