Gravemind - True Life (2024)

SPOTIFY & YOUTUBE

“True Life” is a heavy, experimental deathcore track by the Australian metalcore band Gravemind, officially released on August 2, 2024. The song serves as the seventh track on their highly anticipated sophomore studio album, Introsphere.
Produced by Scottie Simpson.
On an album praised for successfully balancing heavy riffs with melodic clean vocals, “True Life” stands out as one of the most uncompromisingly brutal sections of the record. Within the underground metal community, it has been noted as a return to the band’s “accidental deathcore” roots, utilizing punishingly slow tempos, complex down-tuned rhythmic patterns, and deep, guttural vocal dynamics.
The track explores deeply dystopian and existential concepts. Lyrically, “True Life” focuses on themes of human dependency on technology, technological simulation, and digital entrapment, painting a bleak picture of humanity trapped inside an artificial ecosystem.

🎃 HARDCORE HALLOWEEN — LINEUP UPDATE 🎃

Unfortunately, @diesect.au have had to pull out of their upcoming tour support with @halfme.band which ultimately means they’ll no longer be able to join us for Hardcore Halloween.

We’re saddened to lose them from the lineup and wish the boys all the best. Please see the statement from DIESECT in this post. 🖤

BUT… we’re very excited to announce that @deficitdeathstyle.au will be stepping up to take their place! 🔥

We’re absolutely frothing to have DEFICIT joining the Hardcore Halloween lineup and bringing the heavy to the Arts Factory this October 31. 💀

🎟️ Second Release tickets are already well underway, so don’t sleep on them.

It’s been a little minute, hasn’t it?

We’ve been busy writing new material, and preparing for October - which guarantees to be a month-long barrage of heavy-hitting hardcore and metal for our local scene.

October 2nd: Festyville @twomatesbrewing + @_blah_bar_
October 31st: Hardcore Halloween @artsfactory.byronbay @sinergy.mgmt - a stacked lineup featuring @hellionsmusic @gravemindau @zuko_bne @totalbuzzkill + many more class acts!

Let’s get as many of your beautiful faces to these shows, as we regret to inform you that they’re gonna be fuckin’ sick!

See you in the pit,
Doombride
