I went to a pumpkin patch! I didn't get my picture with any pumpkins, but I did find this big bouncy thing that matched my @brooksandroo bandana! I wanted to join my sissy and her friends to see what all the fun was about on these things, but someone said 'no paws allowed'🚫🐾🎃👻 #pumpkinpatch #ghostsngoblins #spookyseason #shihtzusofinstagram #dogsofinstagram

Happy weekend! 🍁
We went for a walk in our favorite forest yesterday and the fall colors were just lovely! I brought my camera and took a lot of photos of Lua there too. I can’t wait to edit and share them!
This photo was taken a few weeks ago on our trail down to the beach! I’m glad we took these photos when we did because the leaves definitely aren’t as vibrant anymore.

Poor Neptune is getting too old for all this activity 😂

Thank goodness she has her specially trained human Lea @howdylea to pack her around when she gets tired 🥱

A dood, the dahlias and the ocean 😍

When we moved in, there wasn’t a ton of space for my dahlia hobby in the current gardens at this house, so we had garden beds built into the hill that was previously covered in blackberry bushes, and it’s worked out amazingly! They get tons of sun, have perfect soil, and we can still see them from the house and backyard 🥰 We planted sixty tubers in those beds… but I wish I could plant even more! There are so many pretty varieties and I just want them all 😍

Hike to see an arch with the dogs 🐕

This is the most challenging hike we’ve taken Neptune on in a while so we packed her @ruffwear Flagline Harness to assist her up and down rocky, technical parts of the trail. I’m both impressed by how nimble she is at times, hopping up on to rocks, and saddened about how clumsy she can be. She tried to take too steep a path which caused her to tumble backwards and fall on to her back where she struggled to get up. Thankfully Neptune seemed completely unaffected by her tumble and was happy to continue on. I however was flooded with feelings of guilt.

I’m so grateful she’s handling all this so gracefully, even if I’m emotional about it.

Can you see the arch? At first glance we didn’t because it nearly blends in!
