Yong Studio’s (@yong.studio) MNL Fashion Week collection (@mnlfashion.week) moves with climate change, reflected in a gradual loss of color that begins lush and radiant before fading into softer, earthier tones.

“Beautiful, until it isn’t,” says designer Yong Davalos (@yongdavalos) of her collection. MNL Fashion Week beauty director Gery Penaso (@gerypenaso) describes the show’s approach as “anti-beauty,” with sheer, luminous skin, soft washes of color, and naturally textured hair.
