post 2/3 for american pie process:

all these videos seen here are from January 2026 !!

the first two videos, me and Zach woke up on January 2 and said let’s go to Joe and the Juice and then crank some american pie in the studio. so we did exactly that. zach helped me with a section I was really stuck on, they’re awesome. shoutout zach

next videos are all from our very first american pie rehearsal !! I split up the sections that happened between each round of musical chairs eliminations. and then I gave each dancer a verse that I wanted them to come up with phrasework for! oh my god was this a magical day. and guest artist @sydney.manno of course was there to help be genius mode as well.

each solo you see was choreographed by the dancer who is dancing it in these videos !!! this phrase work gave the musical chairs section of american pie so much flavor and dynamic energy that it NEEDED. i’m so so grateful for these genius dancers giving their all and generating so much choreography, their talent and hard work never goes unnoticed. I love these guys.

bonus video at the end, this was me mapping out where I wanted each round of elimination to happen in american pie in the music. this was my “get into the studio and make a bad rough draft” and I did just that. I like it sped up like this it makes me laugh!
