⚾️ OPENING WEEKEND. STATEMENT MADE 🇺🇸 The 28 Scout Carolinas Nike National team got to work in GA 💪🏾!

USA Scout Carolina’s Nike National 2028s opened the fall at PBR LakePoint | GA Fall Open and left Georgia with a 2–1 record but more importantly, with a whole lot of momentum.

On the mound, Liam Mitchell, Brayden Rice, Wesley Kendall, Mikey Davis, and Duncan Haines turned in standout performances, setting the tone from the first pitch and giving this team a chance every time they took the field.

And the bats? ALIVE. 🔥

The boys consistently put together multi-base-hit performances, created pressure with a variety of stolen bases, extended at-bats, and made opposing pitchers work deep into counts. Quality AB after quality AB. The strikeouts were minimal, and the approach from top to bottom showed a group that is learning how to compete together.

Then came the defense.

Spectacular.

Tough play after tough play, inning after inning, these guys continued to make the plays that needed to be made. The athleticism, communication, and trust across the field were on full display.

We didn’t bring home a championship from LakePoint and that’s okay. Because this weekend was about building something bigger. Learning how to win and meeting adversity head on !

Starting the fall off at 2–1 with a Winning record. Tough baseball. Elite effort. And a team chemistry that continues to grow.

The 2028s are just getting started, and if Opening Weekend was any indication…

this group packs a LOT of punch 💥

⏳ T H E P R O C E S S — End of an Era ❤️‍🩹✍🏽🏆

From playing the game I love, to coaching at the national level, man, this summer’s coaching campaign has brought me everything God had prepared for me—From being watered down when the roots weren’t strong enough 🌱 To knowing how it feels to fly 🦅 Thanks for always watching over me, Big Sis #22 🕊️🩵

Baseball is a game of life in many ways, things coaching has taught me at 12u National, 13u Team Nike, & 17u National Levels:

⏳Corners cannot be cut, the ball WILL find you.
⏳Easy isn’t a REAL thing, everything REQUIRES your best effort.
⏳Winning comes at a COST, like money comes with responsibility.
⏳Nurture the relationships you create, they all tell a STORY about 🫵🏽
⏳The culture you create with your ACTIONS, matters more than the words you speak.
⏳Coaching is NOT for the weak, it’ll build a solider out of you.
⏳The sacrifices made for the NOW, will determine the success AFTER.
⏳Integrity to the GRIND, will attract the RIGHT connections.

@coachbecoats — Dawg I wouldn’t go to war with anybody else the way we have broken barriers 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾 The late night power hours, formulating ten different gaming strategies, roster building down to the last second and the endless post-game assessments—Cheers 🍻 to the chemistry building off the field & learning the true value of togetherness through all the endless battles. Thank you to @jean_metayer77 for #thevault 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾🔒 & @trentnxtup for the VISION 🔮

@brattty.kattt — My BIGGEST SUPPORTER, My LUCKY 🍀 CHARM, & MY TWINNN FLAME 👉🏽👈🏽 Cheers 🥂 to all the “BE YOU” peptalks, the undeniable & unapologetic mentoring, the WHY that reminds me to KEEP GOING & the courage to be my back-bone through the thick of it ALL. I couldn’t do it without you 🤍

@usascoutcarolinas — To @rullo.ryan & @rdespinosa515 Two great gentleman that have swim upstream, providing in more ways than one, to reminding me what it’s like to be WANTED in a unique program where my voice matters & the youth community comes FIRST. 🏆 #nike does it better ☑️

Scout Boys & Families — Thank you for believing in ‘THE PROCESS’ year round.
