Troy has endlessly blessed me with a community of people who push me, love me, and pour into me so much that my cup overflows.

I would never have the courage to step outside of my comfort zone and set my eyes on the “impossible” if it weren’t for the community I have here on campus.

Joining greek life was made possible because someone believed in me. Joining SGA and becoming chaplain was made possible because people continually encouraged me and pushed me to see what I was capable of. IMPACT was made possible because countless people told me I would be great at it when I didn’t think I was even remotely qualified.

UAC, Troy Breast Cancer Awareness Society, applying for the Troy University 87 Committee, Order of Omega, becoming a Panhellenic recruitment counselor, and serving as a Living Stones retreat counselor. Every single one of these opportunities was made possible, in some way, because someone believed in me before I fully believed in myself.

I will forever be indebted to the people who have poured into me, encouraged me, and challenged me to become more than I ever thought I could be.

Thank you to my community, and thank you, Troy, for continually pushing me to TAKE FLIGHT to places far beyond anything I ever imagined reaching.
