ALIEN ABDUCTION 👽 COMING SOON 🛸 OCT 1ST ⚛️
Sophiaaaahjkl;8901 is the alias of Fidget Keysmash, an electronic musician based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Following their 2024 release “Breakcore Burnout”, a hyper, playful, glitchy take on hardcore breaks and breakcore; Fidget returns to Suite 309 for their seventh album: Alien Abduction. This record is just as goofy as Keysmash’s music ever is - but more maximal, more textural, and more off-kilter. Happy Hardcore, Breakbeat, IDM, and Jungle are all thrown into a blender along with Hjkl’s unique blend of glitches, morphing sample stab-arpeggios, and sample mangling maximalism. Nowhere is this more apparent than on tracks like “Group Stimming and “Local 30 Year Old Transgender NEET Makes Yet Another Distorted Breakcore Track at over 200 BPM”. Fellow autistic weirdo shut-ins will very much appreciate how Sophia Hjkl smashes together samples from outdated internet memes, 80s RnB, youtube videos, random discord soundboard spam, and the sleng teng riddim among other things. Track 7, “Pump It” is a fan favorite following its inclusion on Ravefurrest’s (a Nashville based touring furry rave series and record label) first ever compilation album. Its blissed out happy hardcore leads and pounding kick drums contrast with smooth and introspective drum and bass b-sections. These sort of tonal shifts and genre-breaking combinations can be found throughout Alien Abduction’s almost one hour runtime, and are sure to delight the whole family / groupchat / ten person polycule living in a two-bedroom apartment downtown. So let’s all go to HJKL Burger and order the Keysmash Ten Dollar Meal Deal!!! We can sip on some Amens to rinse it down !!! YAY YAY YAY YAAAAY :D :D :D :) :D :) :))) :) :D :)

@impact.recs is HERE to help highlight the creativity of the folks in the underground with the release of "Here Comes Trouble Vol. 1" on Bandcamp and SoundCloud. With its release, we're hoping to help both uplift folks who help contribute so much to our scene and its sounds, further build the connections we all have amongst one another to keep supporting ourselves, and to further that support through this compilation's proceeds going to the Gender Justice League!

Brooklyn, our label head, labored over helping make this happen for countless hours, coordinating all of us together to help share the works of our community that sent all its skill our way. Together, we've all created something here that we really feel means more than just another compilation: it's a significant part of an idealistic goal. To continue bringing our community together in a way where folks can feel celebrated for their passions and works. To help all of our music find its people who want to dance and knock heads to it. And to prove how much better it is when we're building this base together and support our own.

Thanks for letting us continue to make an Impact! on your night, now let's make an Impact! on your hearing at home, too.

HCTv.1 is now available on Bandcamp and Soundcloud, and available on other streaming platforms soon.

Almost four years in the making, it’s time to mark our centennial with a three stage Kremwerk takeover at 100% IMPACT running nine hours! We’ve successfully, (to various degrees :P), managed to do 100 shows, and to celebrate we’re taking over all three stages at Kremwerk, where we’re bringing one of the most diverse and unforgettable lineups we’ve ever done to celebrate! This celebration is about celebrating all that you and I are, have been, and will be. This will be our biggest event of the year, hands down, and y’all will never forget it, this party of past, present, and future 🎉❤️🖤🤍
