Phew!🥹❤️ WHAT A JOURNEY! MY SUCCESSFUL FINAL YEAR PROJECT!

From 100 level to 400 level, in Fine Arts Education, specializing in Art History, serving as Class Representative to becoming President of my unit, God has been faithful through it all.

2022-2026 of creativity, dedication, patience, and hard work, and finally, I'M DONE! 🎨🎓

My heartfelt appreciation to my parents, colleagues, friends, loved ones, my fellow believers in different fellowships, communities & churches! And to my supervisor, Professor A. J. Obadiora, for his patience, love, and fatherly guidance, and to everyone who supported me through prayers, finances, encouragement, and love. I appreciate you all wholeheartedly.❤️

Above all, I RETURN ALL THE GLORY TO GOD. Without His grace, provision, direction and strength, this wouldn't have been possible.

THANK YOU, JESUS! THANK YOU, FATHER!🙏🏽❤️🎓

THE NEXT BIG THING COULD START RIGHT HERE AT OAU!

Every successful founder started somewhere. Some started with an idea, others with a skill, and many with the right people around them.

What if your next business partner, co-founder, investor, or biggest opportunity is sitting in the same lecture hall as you? 👀

Introducing Venture Built Club (VBC), OAU! 🚀

A community for ambitious students who want to do more than just earn a degree, and learn how problems become companies.

This is for everyone. Whether you’ve noticed a problem and don’t know where to start, run a business, built something at a hackathon, or you’re simply curious about startups, you belong here. You don’t need an idea, a team or a tech background. You don’t have to build anything. Just join and learn.

This is Club membership, not the Cohort. The Cohort is a separate 12-week intense programme.

As a member, you get access to webinars with founders and investors, the VBC hub, and a network of students building alongside you.

The people you connect with today could be the industry leaders of tomorrow. Don’t wait until they make it to know them!

LEARN, NETWORK, BUILD, GROW

📌 Club membership is officially OPEN to OAU students from every faculty and level.

OCTOBER 20

The Day Trust Died.

Tell me, Nigeria,
what happens when your protectors become your predators?
When the people you elect to protect your future
become the reason you fear for your present?

October 20, 2020.
A date wey no be ordinary date,
a night wey turned hope to heartbreak,
a night when innocent voices met the sound of gunshots,
and the Nigerian flag witnessed what it was never meant to witness.

We no carry gun.
We no steal government money.
We only ask: MUST WE DIE TO BE HEARD?

At Lekki, we sang for freedom,
but bullets answered our anthem.
We raised our flags,
but our own country failed to shield us.

And tell me, who will explain to the mothers
whose children never returned home?
Who will tell a father
that his tomorrow has become a memory?

Six years later, where is the justice?
Where are the answers?
Or have we buried the truth
alongside the dreams of those we lost?

Six years later, the question remains:
Wetin change, apart from the way we see Nigeria?
Because that night changed a generation.
We learnt that patriotism is not silence,
that loving your country does not mean trusting every leader,
and that democracy without accountability
is just another beautiful word in a broken dictionary.

We were young, but we were not foolish.
We were peaceful, but we were not powerless.
We wanted a better Nigeria,
not a Nigeria where survival feels like a privilege.

To every soul lost in that dark chapter,
you were not statistics.
You were somebody's child,
somebody's heartbeat,
somebody's unfinished story.

Ẹ̀yin akíkanjú wa, we remember you.
Your dreams may have been interrupted,
but your courage will not be forgotten.
And to the families still waiting for justice,
we see your pain.
We honour your loss.
And we pray that your search for answers
will never be silenced by time.

Nigeria, listen!

A nation cannot kill the dreams of its youth
and expect them to wake up believing in its promises.

Six years gone.
The wounds remain.
The questions remain.
The demand for justice remains.

NEVER FORGET OCTOBER 20.
NEVER FORGET THE FALLEN.
