An Heroic Quest!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My brother in law's @aliozen03 gift from Vienna @shakespeare.co.vienna bookshop. and a vintage book that makes it extra gem. 💎 He is one of the bookworms that have a great taste in reading. Classy brother, i have.

Looking at my interests in literature, history, travel, and the sea, Gulliver’s Travels is more than a children’s adventure for me.

📕 It is one of the greatest travel narratives ever written.
📕 It contains vivid maritime scenes that often appeal to sailors.
📖 It rewards rereading at different ages.
📖 Its humor and irony resemble the layered storytelling found in many modern novels.

#JonothanSwift produced these fantastic creative words for the characters in this marvellous book.

The tiny people of Lilliput
The giants of Brobdingnag
Glumdalclitch
Blefuscu
Splacknuck
Nildento all epic vibes & people.

I discovered something deeper, a satirical masterpiece questioning politics, civilization, and human nature.

Accoerding to Swift; human beings possess reason, but often behave irrationally.

When Jonathan Swift published Gulliver’s Travels in 1726, he did not intend it as a children’s book. It was a sharp satire of eighteenth-century politics, human pride, colonialism, science, and society.

I think my daughter Lal will enjoy the gigantic and tiny illustrations drawn by #PabloMarcos. we all, children & adults should read this classic.

A fantastic book that can be enjoyed as an adventure today and rediscovered later as a profound meditation on human nature.

#onthisday Charles Dickens would have been 214 years old today. Born on Feb. 7, 1812, Dickens was one of the most popular novelists of the Victorian Era. While he's not my favorite author, it's impossible to deny his influence and lasting legacy on literature. Here's a cool illustrated copy of Oliver Twist, his second novel, originally published in serial form from 1837 to 1839. If you see Charles Dickens today, be sure to wish him a happy birthday. #charlesdickens #bookstagram #readersofinstagram #bookcollector

Best of the Best in Sports Cards and Comics - lengthy name; but worthwhile shopping experience. They have a little of everything, with comics emphasized in the images. We also picked up the highly coveted Disney Weiss Schwarz boxes, singles, and hobby and blaster boxes. There was an array, but the store would be improved with more sealed wax options. The store is without question organized and will entertain buyers for hours. The customer service is among the best and will make it even easier to support this LCS. They hole true to BEST OF THE BEST. Check them out yourselves! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #comics #tcg #pokemon #dbz #disney #weissschwarz #weissschwarztcg #dragonballz #pokemontcg #sportscards #tradingcards #dccomics #marvelcomics #disneycomics #dellcomics #darkhorsecomics #lucifer #cardshop #localcomicstore #localcomicshop #localcardshop #topps #paniniamerica #cardcollection #sportscardsinvestments #sportscardsforsale #tcgplayer #disneycollector #comiccollector #comicbooks

Which is your favourite board game growing up? .
.
#RanobeReviews - The New Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Augustus Black .
.
✨PLOT✨
.
.
This is an extension to the famous novel written by Mark Twain, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. As the original book was, this is the tale of Tom Sawyer who goes on adventures with his friends Huck Finn, Amy, James and many more. .
.
✨CHARACTERIZATION✨
.
.
As the characters are young and adventurous, it is quite fun to read about them. .
.
✨MY VIEWS✨
.
.
I read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain at the age of 12 and reading this book which is an extension of the previous book just makes me nostalgic as to how innocent I was when I first read it.
I enjoyed the earlier one so so much and reading this made me even more happier. .
.
✨PICK OR SKIP?✨
.
.
If you really want to read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain and you're contemplating whether you should do it or not, then I'd suggest you to read this one and judge for yourself. .
.
✨RATING✨
.
.
🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 .
