So much of what I love about sports—and competition in general—is learning just how much the body and mind are capable of overcoming.

The hills. The work. The days when progress doesn’t come easy. Learning to keep pushing anyway.

Years ago at @kenyoncollegefb , it was me putting in the work and finding a way to overcome the odds. Now I get to watch my son learn those same lessons for himself.

“He who made it by struggle made it best.”

Keep grinding, @steadyprogressioniv . The rest will fall into place. 💪🏿

He wears Nike sportswear, including a sleeveless tank top, compression tights, and training shoes. One leg is lifted and bent, with his hands resting on it. He looks confidently to the side. The minimalist background and monochrome lighting emphasize strength, focus, and athletic presence.

Time really does fly. its been 3 years to the day since I photographed Cisco, I am absolutely floored every time I see these images. While I don't see a lot of men in my studio, they ABSOLUTELY get photographed and I am honored when I can bring their vision to life.

A New Year, A New Presence.

What story does your image tell before you even say a word?

Your presence speaks volumes—power, confidence, and intention. As we close out the year, now’s the time to reflect on how you show up for yourself, your goals, and the people you inspire.

Sometimes, the smallest shifts—like refreshing how you’re seen—can ignite the biggest transformations.

Here’s to stepping into the spotlight with courage and purpose in 2025.

Diwali: Festival of Lights

The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness.

In northern India, they celebrate the story of King Rama's return to Ayodhya after he defeated Ravana by lighting rows of clay lamps.

Southern India celebrates it as the day that Lord Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura.

Hindus interpret the Diwali story based upon where they live. But there's one common theme no matter where people celebrate: the victory of good over evil.

Big shoutouts to @greatnes5
for making this video of Diwali celebrated in Brussels
