Live performance is never exactly the same twice. 🌬️ At this year’s Irvine Global Village Festival, the wind gave our dancers one more thing to work with.

Watch closely and you’ll notice the small adjustments: a shift in timing, a little more control through a turn, a different relationship with a prop or costume, a moment of extra grounding before the next movement. Nothing dramatic enough to change the choreography, but enough to keep the dance clear, intentional, and alive.

That kind of adaptability is part of the craft too. The choreography stays the same; the dancer responds to the conditions in front of them. ☁️

Proud to share Chinese dance once again at the @cityofirvine Global Village Festival, where movement became one of many ways our community brought culture to life. ❤️
