First USPSA match in the books! Now it's time get get an official match and get ranked! Honestly was shocked how well I did and couldn't believe it came down to 1% for who won the whole match last night. I won the second and third stage of the night but because the gap between me and 1st that first stage he beat me overall 1 Point or .1 seconds total between all 3 stages. Looking forward to my first official match in 2 weeks to see where I rank in USPSA!

My first ever @thetacticalgames event ( @ttg.skirmish ) in the books! Honestly I knew I was not gonna be anywhere near the top of the pack not maybe even the middle but man I sure did have fun! This was my favorite stage of the day and was my last as well. This stage was shooting from 90-110 yards between all 3 shooting spots and did pretty well as only 2 people out of 100 were able to finish this stage. Most people ran out of time on the white section of this stage and didn't even make it to the red. My goal was just to get past the blue section. Of course I wasted way too much time trying to hit that last blue steel plate but when I got to white I started to lock it down then ran out of time after my second shot on the red section.

Now it's time to start training for next year's games and make it to a regional event!

Had an absolute blast shooting this match put together by @moose352 and @greenaustin73, with the usual great stages by @kylenarkum.
I almost didn’t make it to this one because of a pinched nerve in my back, but I’m not the type of guy to give up that easily. 😤 Got a little help from my massage therapist @kryan051174 the day before, then relied on a lidocaine patch and some painkillers to get me through the match.

This was also my first time shooting my new @sigsauerinc P211 GT5. Huge thanks to @mason_lane_shooting for all the tips on the gun and @cobrajack for the dot hookup. Still getting to know the gun, but somehow managed to finish 18th overall out of 230 shooters! 🔥

The match had some really interesting and challenging stages. Honestly, probably a little too challenging for newer shooters, which may explain the 20+ DQs over the weekend. 😬

I shot on staff day, and for the rest of the weekend I had a great experience working with a knowledgeable RO and an awesome young man, @zach_singer_. Definitely made the weekend even better.

Big thanks to everyone who put this match together and everyone who helped me along the way. Already looking forward to the next one! 👊#shooting #guns #pewpew

Decided to attack this stage a little differently.

The low port was giving me some trouble with the knee pain I’ve been dealing with lately, so instead of forcing an aggressive position in the middle of the stage, I opted to travel a little farther and keep things moving.

Speed felt good and the plan worked — but I dropped WAY too many Charlies. 😂

Sometimes the stage plan is solid and you just need to shoot better. Onto the next one. 🤙

You can always tell who the people are that normally only shoot one gun at a PCSL 2-Gun match 😂

They either excel with the handgun and struggle HARD with the rifle… or absolutely crush the rifle and then remember they have to shoot a handgun too 😂

I am very CLEARLY in the first group.

So naturally, one of my best stages still holding strong going into Day 3 is the handgun-only stage 😂🔫

At least I know I haven’t forgotten how to shoot a pistol.

Now I just gotta figure out how to do this exact same thing with a rifle… 😅

Wow, you can REALLY hear how badly I need to get in shape running around these stages 😂

Running a rifle is a completely different animal than just moving with a handgun. More weight, more to manage, and apparently a whole lot more cardio than I was prepared for.

Definitely learned a ton this weekend—now it’s time to take those lessons, clean up the movement, get more comfortable behind the rifle, and put in the work before Nationals.

Back to training. 🤘

What a day at the SIG Sauer Academy Red Dot Rumble 🔴💥⁣
⁣
Had an absolute blast shooting the match. The stages were challenging, technical, and definitely exposed a few things I need to work on.⁣
⁣
I didn’t shoot the rifle nearly as well as I wanted to, and there was definitely some meat left on the board throughout the match. But that’s part of why I love this sport—every match gives you something to take home and work on. Safe to say, more rifle practice is officially on the menu. 😂⁣
⁣
Now it’s time to switch gears from competitor to staff. Looking forward to running everyone else through the match and watching them attack these stages!⁣
⁣
Good luck to everyone shooting—have fun, shoot straight, and I’ll see you on the range. 🤘⁣
