This was an indulgence. We felt so guilty after that we wanted to walk all the way home from this hawker stall. The last time I had Mee Hoon Kueh at @greenviewcafe, they were located ar Far East Plaza. And the food there was kinda happy food right? And because I was so depressed about the state of the home renovations, I almost ate their entire menu in April this year! Well, I am still eating my emotions. This time we ate Mee Hoon Kueh to celebrate! We are so excited about our wee break coming up when we fly to Penang tomorrow. Yay! Joel had the Mee Hoon Kueh dry version, and I had the Mala Mee Hoon Kueh. And we were so ill disciplined we went on to order the prawn fritters and spam fries. This was indeed happy food. The only thing missing was a beer. Maybe the universe wanted me to have that beer tomorrow in Penang instead. 😬 📍 Greenview Cafe, 122 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3.

Popular since their Far East Plaza days, they’ve moved to a hawker center at AMK earlier this year! 🍽️ What we tried 🍽️ 🍲 Stir Fry Mala Mee Hoon Kueh $7.50 🍲 Minced Meat Mee Hoon Kueh - Dry $4.90 My review: After trying them, I totally get the hype! These handmade noodles have that perfect springy, chewy texture without being overly tough! My top pick is their mala version which is pretty unique - it rly tastes like mala hotpot and satisfies all my mala cravings in one bowl! Plus points for the luncheon meat inside too! The classic minced meat dry mhk is pretty good too - the dry gravy is rly savory! I’d recommend spicy, or mild if you’re not good with spice like me! ✨ Overall Review ✨ A spot I’ll definitely revisit! At this price for handmade noodles?! happy midweek HEHE here’s another dump 🤓 1-3 @aliceboulangeriesg this has been on my to try list since BEFORE their raffles city outlet opened didn’t try their cafe food/drinks cos we ate alr but we dabaoed the buns. both were so fricking yummy i love the cream/puree in the charred corn 🌽 one the flavour profile was giving turtle chip corn soup flavour solid 10/10 and the black sesame peanut mochi 🥜 also 9.7483/10 is exactly what it sounds like all components were very distinct 4-5 @simplywrapps.sg sooo late to the simply wrapps hype but this lowk blew my mind 10/10 first of all insane portion size idk how they wrapped it and also i am obsessed w texture and this was so textural it’s like crunchy and creamy and the wrap 🌯 was toasted so it was crispy too what the hell might travel to raffles city just to eat this i’m ngl 6-7 @greenviewcafe mala mhk 8/10 and herbal mhk 7/10 and fried niangao 7/10 luv the uneven hand torn mhk slices very chewy 8 @uddersicecream new outlet at taiseng yay we went for their 1 for 1 promo i got kueh salat 🌱🍚 solid 8/10 mochi pieces were delicious my sis got pistachio also not bad kinda Nutty iirc 9 @timhowan_sg new xo fried ccf 9/10 10 garden street kway chap Bro we queued like 30 mins and there were only 4 ppl in front of us lowk i rmb this to be Yummier but maybe i was just hangry it is still good kway chap tho i j wouldn’t queue so long 11-12 omg i don’t rmb the name of this shop it was in grantral mall the garlic eggplant 🍆 11/10 blew my mind so hard i tried recreating it at home. tomato egg and suan cai beef and cucumber were all rly good too 9/10 -1 cos everything was SO salty but still very good sorry this is getting way too long i dont like to use the indiv caption function bear w me 🐻

As a self proclaimed mee hoon kueh lover - we really enjoyed this bowl from @greenviewcafe - it’s sooooo chewy which was what i loved about its texture. Sauce was slightly sweet and savoury and paired nicely with their chili. Albeit being slightly further at AMK, we had no regrets coming down. Special shoutout to their fried nian gao - super crispy and sweet yummmmm.
