Meet this inspirational @YMCA of Greenwich Member, Alexandra Frumin!

This past June, Alexandra headed to Minnesota to compete alongside 4,000 athletes from all 50 states in the 2026 @SpecialOlympics. Through her hard work, dedication, and consistency, she took home a silver medal in both the 50m backstroke and the 4x500m Freestyle Relay, as well as a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly. 🎖️🏊

To train for these races, Alexandra trained with @Greenwich_Marlins Assistant Coach, Megan Kelly. Alexandra's bubbly personality and determination, combined with Megan's guidance and skill, made them a great team.

Huge congrats to Alexandra on all her hard work! 💙

7 DAYS TILL JO IN THE WATER SCREENING AT PICTUREHOUSE GREENWICH

“Do your job Keir!”

Grassroots campaigners and activists are jumping headfirst into the gap left by the failures of governments and regulators.

@ericapopplewell, Head of Engagement @riveractionuk and @zofiapage, Executive Director @formedway_ are joining director @pippiper64 for a Q&A after our screening to discuss how we can ALL make a difference.

🎥 @greenwichpicturehouses
🗓️ Monday 27th April 8pm

Jo in the Water follows a passionate sea swimmer turned reluctant activist, Exmouth-based Jo Bateman, as she takes on one of the UK’s biggest water companies in a David-and-Goliath battle to protect our waters from devastating sewage pollution.

In the wake of Channel 4’s recent hard-hitting docu-drama which has left many people both angry and frustrated, Jo in the Water picks up the baton from Dirty Business and seeks out joy and inspiration amongst the many amazing individuals fighting to make a difference.

“Jo inspires people… they realise that together we have a greater strength. In a shoal like this we become mighty.”
Chris Packham, Wildlife TV presenter & conservationist

Come and be part of the shoal- make your voices heard!

When the face says it all!

When the season ends better than even expected I’m sure she forgot all the morning practices, dryland sessions, PT appointments, late studying after practice, staying home alone to train Christmas break and February break and how we went away without her. She’ll remember, but she didn’t in this moment.

So grateful for her team @greenwich_marlins in her 10th year on the team! And our travel team friends @wratswimming. The combined effort of cheering got all of the CT kids through a long week. It comes when coaches don’t have egos and put the kids first, and we’re lucky to both have great ones.

SC junior season ✅. Getting myself ready for next seasons “final times” doing things.
