Dear Liberty University,

It seems like just last year when I graduated high school in deep anticipation to get started here. Upon arriving, I felt like a super small fish in a super big lake and was worried that I’d have a much harder time in college than I did in high school. That couldn’t have ended up less true.

I’ve learned so many valuable things in the past 4 years: how to protect and manage information systems, how to get employed, and most importantly, how to properly represent and have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

To the new friends I’ve made: thank you. Thank you all (especially my C4F4 brothers) for being the best group of people someone like me could ask for and for always being down to get into shenanigans. It’s you guys and this student body that makes this campus such a magical and unique experience.

I’m thankful to both my and Ceana’s loving families for coming out so far just to support us and celebrate all of our hard work. They’ve been with us every single step of the way and we couldn’t ask for better and more caring people to be so close to.

To the professors: you are such a blessing and have put so much in to helping me grow. Each class period begins with prayer and sometimes a small devotion and you feel yourself not only being developed academically, but also spiritually. I’ve had so much fun practicing the skills they have taught me. I would never be here had it not been for you.

And lastly, to my freshman advisor that said I’d never graduate on this path: you’d better start praying harder for my downfall.

I am so excited to be welcomed into aLUmni. Despite Liberty’s flaws, if I had to relive the recruitment process, I think I’d still choose to be a Flame every time.

A huge congratulations to all of my fellow graduates, whether you are a Flame or not. This is the exact moment we’ve been waiting for ever since our first class as freshman. Now, a new chapter is upon us, which can be sad and scary since this chapter was so incredible. However, this is just the beginning. By acting out God’s plans for our lives, we get more opportunities to truly be Champions for Christ.

I didn’t expect my quote book to double in size in one year

On a real note though, God has done so much to teach me about what loving Him looks like this year. There is so much I’d love to share and so much I can’t wait to share the fruit of but all I’ll say is I’m grateful to call Him my Savior. he is the greatest comforter and there is none like Him. If you don’t know Him… start looking, cause there is nothing greater than being called His child.

This past semester is probably the busiest I've ever been. There were so many amazing moments and plenty of really rough patches, but God has been faithful throughout all of it. I'm grateful for the ways He's taught me to wait on His timing and to truly seek after Him. I'm also incredibly grateful for all the amazing people He's placed in my life around who have consistently pointed me back to Him and supported me throughout everything. Looking back, I've grown a ton, spiritually, academicly, and personally, which would not have been possible without God's help. I'm grateful for what He's done, and I can't wait to see what He's doing next. 🐧
