The swingin’ 60s! It has been an absolute pleasure bringing up the rear with these fantastic humans. I could not believe my luck as we were drawing our numbers when person after person who I adored drew a 60-something number! The fact that our group handlers were Pixie and Mark has only made this experience more amazing.

In 14 hours, everything will be shaken up as we find out the top 20, but this has been a magical experience and I treasure all of you.

The Forge, ICSD Leather Weekend 2026, was a four-day celebration of San Diego’s leather community hosted by the Imperial Court de San Diego. The weekend featured community gatherings, workshops, performances, socials, and the ICSD Title Contest, all centered around leather tradition, visibility, and connection within the community.

Day four of The Forge was the ICSD Leather Contest, the culmination of a weekend built around leather tradition, community, visibility, and service.

Throughout the weekend, contestants shared their stories, experiences, and personal connections to the leather community, leading up to the selection of the 2026 title holders:

Lady of Leather,
Guardian of Leather,
and Creature of Leather.

While there was no contestant for Knight of Leather this year, the title was respectfully offered to Mikee for another year, which he humbly accepted.

What stood out to me most was how much the weekend focused not just on titles themselves, but on what those titles represent, leadership, mentorship, advocacy, visibility, and a commitment to strengthening and supporting the leather community itself.

The Forge felt less like a simple contest weekend and more like a celebration of tradition, resilience, identity, and the people working to carry those traditions forward into a new generation.

Class 48 at @internationalmrleatherinc 47 last year! One of the best things we've done as a group this year is build ties with each other further in advance than ever before, gathering at events and starting group chats before the official class telegram ever arrived.

I know next year's class is already doing the same, and if that becomes a trend, I'll be so proud. One of the things I want most out of my IMLBB journey is connections and Leather family to last me a lifetime. I think I've found it already.
