Thanks to everyone who packed Freddy’s bar for our 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 Music Video Edition! 🎤 The twelve videos we showcased spanned every musical genre under the sun, and we were honored to have the musicians and filmmakers in attendance.

Special thanks to Autophoto for sponsoring our event, and to Sam Paley and Ben Samuelson for closing out the program by debuting TWO new songs! Stay tuned for more announcements, and see you again on Aug 25!

Last Saturday, we celebrated the launch of Michael Glover Smith’s new book, BOB DYLAN AS FILMMAKER, and the world premiere of Ben Creech’s short film adaptation!!! When @whitecitycinema asked me to contribute the cover artwork, I was so happy to finally collaborate with him. His knowledge and love of Dylan runs so deep!

Thanks to everyone who came to our very special @nonfilms DarkRoom Screening & Salon, @brianratigan for hosting, @gallery198_brooklyn for your beautiful space, @billythemerrell, and @norrismusicofficial. And thank you to everyone who picked up a book or print! ♥️

Buy Michael’s book for a fascinating new perspective on Dylan, and contact @creechlikesthisone if you want to see his extraordinary video essay 📕🎥

If you’re interested in a signed print, message me — I have a limited number available. Prints are also available through my shop (link in bio), though orders placed there will ship unsigned.

Endless thanks to all who attended the first-ever 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 Screening & Salon in the Bronx! We were ecstatic to curate a block of favorite short films as part of the BRONX FRAME series (whose goal is to “unite filmmakers in the Bronx”) at the Andrew Freedman Home, and could not be more appreciative of the enthusiastic audience. Supporting independent artists is what it’s all about, so please continue to support this screening series, and hold it down for us in the BX. Special thanks to @afhbronx @affirmativeyouth @thebronxfilmmakers @bronxcinema @bronxworldfilm @elizabethyooart and our sponsor @voodooranger

The first-ever DarkRoom Screening & Salon at the Alamo Lower Manhattan was a success! The Press Room was filled with artists and patrons who all made the trek to celebrate independent cinema with us. Massive thanks to the filmmakers for screening their work with us, the staff for being so accommodating, and to friends old and new (you know who you are 🖤). Hope to catch you again there next month.

The next DarkRoom screening happens in two weeks at Freddy’s in Brooklyn on Tuesday, May 28. See you there!

Our debut at @alamonyc was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who came — you packed the house!! 🤯 @nonfilms’ monthly DarkRoom screening and salon is all about creating a welcoming space for artists and filmmakers to meet and discover rarely seen short films — narrative, documentary, experimental, animated, and beyond. Deeply grateful to be part of a film family that continues to grow. It meant the world to us to be able to share these films with you. Impeccable curation by @brianratigan and @williamgeorgelouis 🎥

See you at the next Alamo Lower Manhattan screening on Monday, June 10th! Grab a free zine/program at every screening! 🖤💛

Thanks to @the.press.room for your beautiful space, exceptional hospitality, and delicious cocktails, popcorn, and food. What a dream to see outstanding films while sitting by thousands of vintage film newspaper advertisements! 🥂🍿🎉
