This is one of the most remote and fragile ecosystems left in the world — a place where the balance between wilderness and human footprint is razor thin. As interest in southern Tasmania grows, so does the risk of loving it to death.

This summer I spent an equal amount of time out in the wilds as I did rekindling old friendships.
The endless opportunity for real adventure that Tassie has to offer is unlike any other place I’ve been. The zest for remote wilderness, along with Family and community is what makes my heart yearn for home. I really do love you all.
Big season in the Kimberley coming up. I’m amped. Let’s get it!

Tannin rich water patterns of Bathurst Harbour 🧡 Apparently , if you drink the water , you are destined to return 🧡 Should I stop having a little taste each time I visit? I don’t think so 😊 Truly looking forward to returning in a year or two 😊 @paraviontas

Return to the Southwest: southern swells, gathering shearwaters, winter on the make. It's the first time I've been guiding for a while; amazing to be back in the boots of a Par Avion guide, working on a three day camp in the Wilderness World Heritage Area of Bathurst Harbour and Port Davey. Where clouds look like rocks and mountains like clouds and people appreciate being put in their place by an ever changing landscape, out of anyone's control. All the soft emotions rise to the surface and no one asks for the time. There were plenty of greens. Here, some of the greys. It's quieter now, the yachts are gone, but Par Avion @paraviontas still take guests for winter adventure.

Tassie how good! Awesome few months catching up with friends and family, and another great season guiding in the South West. Time to keep the adventure going. Thanks for the memories! ✌🏼
