👻 A weird house in SF that gave us ALL the feelings!

We came to House of Weird, and at first, we were like… WHAT IS THIS PLACE?! 😂 Turns out, it was a mix of creepy, funny, and totally unexpected moments!

Located inside the historic 1886 Haas-Lilienthal House in Pacific Heights, this unique experience had us getting goosebumps, screaming, and laughing all at the same time. Definitely an experience we won’t forget anytime soon!

If you’re looking for something different to do in SF, especially for spooky season, add this to your list! 🎃👻

The National Institute for Play describes the Explorer as someone who is driven by curiosity and the quest to seek out new knowledge or experiences. This can be through adventure, research, tinkering, emotional exploration, or entrepreneurship.

Our July Play Along! event offered an Exploration Station hosted by Play Ambassador Gregangelo Herrera. Here, participants had the opportunity to explore through scent.

I finally visited House of Weird curated by @gregangelomuseum for the first time, and I had no idea what to expect. It takes place inside the 1886 Haas-Lilienthal House in Pacific Heights. This Victorian survived the 1906 earthquake and is the city’s only intact Victorian-era house museum. San Francisco Heritage @sfheritage has looked after it since the 1970s.

You begin in the grand ballroom with a magical elixir, then head up into dark, hidden corridors where the Gregangelo Museum’s artists are waiting. It’s weird, it’s beautiful, and yes, I laughed and screamed in the same breath. 🕯️👻

If you’re looking for a Halloween thing to do that’s not your usual haunted house, this is it. A little history, a lot of strange, and a night you’ll actually remember. 🎃

🎃The House of Weird tour takes place in the historic Haas-Lilienthal House, a historic 1886 Victorian mansion located in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood. This home is famous for surviving the 1906 earthquake that shook SF! So definitely a fun way to tour this historic building! 🤩
