Smack in the middle of an album rollout, I began an incredible journey at Harvard Business School’s Executive Course in the Business of Entertainment, Media & Sports.

Grateful to have shared a space with some of the most curious, open, and sharp minds in the industry. The willingness to exchange ideas, experiences, and insights was unmatched. No ego, just pure energy and shared purpose.

What struck me most was the deep curiosity about the diverse cultures originating from Africa; its creative landscape, its untapped potential, and the stories we’re shaping. There’s real interest in what we’re building, and even more reason to keep going.

In life, the older you get, the rarer it becomes to find spaces where you feel instantly seen, understood, and surrounded by your tribe—both old and new. This past week at Harvard Business School was one of those rare moments.

The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports executive program was a masterclass in global leadership, business strategy, and cultural storytelling. Our extraordinary cohort featured a world-renowned chef, a former F1 world champion, global footballers, NFL and NBA athletes, Olympians, and leaders across media, tech, VC, music, and beyond.

From classroom debates to bar takeovers, morning stand-ups to late-night laughter—this crew brought insight, excellence, and the kind of energy that reminds you why you do what you do.

I was honored to speak on one of the two panels featured in class—one on the lived experience of athletes, and the other on business opportunities across Africa. For the Africa panel, I shared why the continent’s youth, scale, and mobile-first behavior make it one of the most exciting growth frontiers globally—and how global brands can engage meaningfully with local strategy.

Still buzzing from an unforgettable week at Harvard.
Wrapped four intense days of case studies in the BEMS program under the legendary Anita Elberse. What started as a week of case studies turn into great connections with world-class athletes, dynamic executives, media companies, global record labels, chefs, and new friends I won’t soon forget.

Special shoutout to my roommates in Pod 65 and my new friends from Africa, who gave me my biggest inspiration of the week. Lagos and Accra are officially at the top of my travel list.

Living on campus for a few days gave me real college déjà vu—and other than missing our families back home, it left us all wishing we could have stayed longer. Grateful to have shared this chapter with such a brilliant, inspiring crew.

And finally, a special thank you to the professors and faculty members at HBS who hosted us. Everyone was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Harvard is definitely a new special place for me.

Our Ruby Tuesday turned 1 🎈we learn new things about her every day. She is everyone’s favorite person in our family. Her favorite place is on my lap. She always wants to pet the dog. She destroys a plate of pasta. No one makes her laugh like Mags does. We went with the name because she came out so red. What a wild year. What a joy she has brought to our lives. To have such a safe and healthy child in this world is not lost on me ❣️

this weekend we celebrated my favorite girl turning 2 💫 seeing this sweet soul develop her perfectly goofy, wildly enthusiastic, deeply empathetic, curious, independent & consistently joyful personality has made this year even better than the last. my heart bursts with gratitude multiple times each day. being her mama is my favorite ❤️‍🔥
