Next up in our board set up series comes wirral head, pro quad rider and ramp 1 pool enthusiast man like veej!@vaughan_mf_jones. Mates with @stefanjanoski and @kyrondavis, Vaughan has exceeded all the criteria of wirral skateboarding, including being the only holder of un-coloured quad bolds, a status incredibly difficult to achieve. ❤️🐊🔩

Since achieving the doubles Ollie with K-Rod (swipe right), a Parisian witch cast a spell making whatever board Veej chooses turns into a Kevin Rodrigues pro model!

Vaughan rides:
@hockey.eyeswithoutaface Kevin Rodriguez 8.18
@thundertrucks T2 148 with @independenttrucks medium hard bushings
@spitfirewheels lock in fulls 54mm 99du
@bonesbearings swiss
@quadboltco (no colour, very rare)

I’ve just finished a full week of making, since my exhibition in January and it feels sooo good!

One of my highlights was being trained up by the amazing @gregoryherbertart in 3D modelling for blender to use in a multitude of ways in my practice:
- Creating invisible sculptures that activate public spaces.
- Visualisations of my work from the small to architectural scale.
- Bespoke components to 3D print, and so much more.

If you’re interested to be kept up to date, as I explore physical-digital practice for the first time - sign up to my newsletter (link in bio).

It’s the final week of It Requires Getting Lost.

To celebrate the project, we’re sharing the film we commissioned from Jules Lister, featuring the artists and contributors reflecting on what shaped this eclectic exhibition.

We’re open Wednesday–Sunday, 12–5:30pm, with two special events still to come. Find out more via the links in our bio, and we hope to see you before it closes.

A huge thanks @gregoryherbertart for coming along @uos_artsmedia last night as our next #sustainablefutures talk series - a new host of creative practitioner talks exploring the interconnection between the arts, ecology and collaboration. Both the students & wider public had some fab questions to ask Greg too ;)

This month’s event was in partnership with @openeyegallery as part of their off site programme for #LOOK #Climatelab which runs until 29th March

You can also still catch the group show ‘it requires getting lost’ @castlefieldgall which features some of Gregory’s newest work exploring art, ecology & collaboration - on until 22nd Feb

So two really relevant shows to check out ;)

Plus (yes there’s more!) we launch our next #sustainablefutures associated event with film launch #womengrowjeans on 24th Feb. Head to @uos_sustain for more info ;)

EVENT ALERT 🔔 Next Tues 10 Feb 4-5pm @uos_artsmedia #sustainablefutures #artisttalk #creativetech #ecology #newadelphibuilding

Join @gregoryherbertart for an artist talk and Q&A in the New Adelphi studio space at University of Salford to find out more about his work and approach to sustainable arts practice.

Herbert lives and works in Liverpool. His practice explores the vast entanglement of interactions that organisms and non-human entities have within their environments, Herbert often taking influence from models of collaboration and coexistence. He will be discussing his practice in conversation with Liz Wewiora (MA Art and design programme leader at Salford and Head of Social Practice at Open Eye Gallery).

This is the second in a series of new sustainable futures talks @uos_artsmedia inviting a range of creative practitioners to discuss their approach to environmental practice & ecological collaborations

Head to our event partners @openeyegallery for their events page to book for free via eventbrite ;) we’ll also post the link in our stories 🌱
