📍 Rowardennan to Inverarnan

Day 3 of hiking the West Highland Way in Scotland is notoriously known as the most challenging leg of the trail. Following Loch Lomond, the technicality increases once you get past Inversnaid, with plenty of rocks, roots, and beautiful views that come along with it.

Add a continuous downpour for the first 5 hours and you've got yourself a heck of a day 😂

I made the mistake of keeping my phone in my pants pocket, and with the screen continuously being wet the battery drained super quickly since it thought I was trying to unlock it the whole time. We stopped for lunch at the Inversnaid hotel which thankfully is well equipped for hikers, with a separate entrance and room with plenty of plugs to recharge. We made it JUST in time for lunch (girls that arrived a few minutes after us had to beg for a few slices of bread), and we spent an hour there taking a break from the rain, letting our feet dry, and charging up the phones.

The rainfall did make the plenty of waterfalls we passed even more breathtaking, and finally in the last 2 hours of the hike the rain broke and the sun even peeked out.

We camped at @beinglas_campsite which gave us the opportunity to shower (where I found an attached tick on my leg), dry our clothes, and have a sheltered area to hang out in the evening.
