Forget the tricks, Mondo Zombie Boogaloo is all about the treats! This monstrously fun Halloween collection unites garage-rock legends The Fleshtones, surf titans Los Straitjackets, and psychobilly mischief-makers Southern Culture On The Skids for a graveyard smash packed with spooky originals and haunted classics. Featuring spirited takes on favorites like “Ghostbusters,” “Goo Goo Muck,” and “Haunted Hipster,” plus the all-star collaboration “Que Monstruos Son” (formerly “The Monster Mash”), the album is a Halloween party soundtrack built to raise the dead. Wrapped in original artwork by Steve Blickenstaff (the artist behind The Cramps’ iconic Bad Music for Bad People), Mondo Zombie Boogaloo is a frightfully good celebration of rock ‘n’ roll’s weird, wild side. This album has been out-of-print for years and fetches tidy sums in collectors’ circles. This reissue is pressed on pink vinyl and limited to 1,000 copies worldwide.

Ooooh exciting! Just received a Northern Crown moonshine tasting sample from the awesome @ryesandshinedistillery from Vancouver Island, Canada!
Yup, that’s ‘Northern Crown’ as in the @hillbillymoon song - written by the great @gregtownson no less 😀

Here’s another Link Wray throwback.

Greg Townson had originally hoped to join the Link Wray Birthday Bash lineup, but his touring schedule with Los Straitjackets prevented him from being able to participate.

When he returned from the tour, he graciously invited me out to the next Hi Risers show, to help him do the Link Wray songs he had been originally planning to perform.

Here’s a little bit of I’m Branded.

Los Straitjackets on the Brentford Riviera.

Shot for artwork of their latest album ‘Somos Los straitjackets’ on Yep Roc Records. Buy the album and catch them live, they’re always playing somewhere.
