💙✨ I’m ALWAYS excited to be invited into the RIGHT rooms!

The pictures are cute, but the CONNECTIONS are priceless! 📸💙

Now, y’all know I love a good photo op! 😂 I’m going to find my good angle, smile for the camera, and make sure the lighting is right! 💋🤣 But don’t get it twisted… while I’m smiling, I’m also shaking hands, building relationships, exchanging ideas, and creating opportunities!

I had the pleasure of being in the company of Governor JB Pritzker, Blue Island Mayor Fred Bilotto, State Representative Bob Rita, Calumet Park Mayor Ronald Denson, along with other mayors, aldermen, superintendents, city officials, business owners, and community leaders.

As a proud Democrat, I believe in civic engagement, strong leadership, and making our voices heard. It’s time to get out and VOTE! 🗳️💙

One thing I’ve learned over the years from my brother @greguncleglyons is that it’s not just about who you know, but the relationships you build, the connections you nurture, and what YOU bring to the table!

I’m grateful for every invitation and every opportunity to be in rooms where conversations turn into collaborations and relationships turn into opportunities.

Being invited into the room is a blessing, but knowing what to DO once you’re in there is BUSINESS! 💯

Every wedding 🤵🏽👰🏽 I've officiated this year featured his song “Why I Love You” during the ceremony. Absolutely amazing! 🙌🏽

100 BLACK-OWNED EATERIES CHALLENGE — NEW ORLEANS EDITION ⚜️🖤

Y’all know I challenged myself to support 100 Black-owned eateries a year — that’s just TWO a week! And I’m challenging Y’ALL to do it with me. 💅🏾

My latest New Orleans stop: Biscuits & Buns on Banks. Now say THAT three times fast! 😂

Somebody told me, “I don’t want to go there…it’s in a house.”

HUH?! Clearly they don’t know anything about Louisiana culture! Baby, some of the BEST food we grew up eating came out of somebody’s HOUSE — your mama’s, grandma’s, auntie’s, cousin’s, or that neighbor who wasn’t related but was still somehow your auntie. 😂⚜️ That’s part of what makes Louisiana culture so special!

And baby…THE FOOD WAS GOOD!

🍤 I had the shrimp & grits with fried catfish — delicious!
🥞 My cousin had those beautiful purple pancakes — because apparently regular-colored pancakes just weren’t fabulous enough. 💜😂
🍳 Vaida had the seafood omelet
🧇 Aunt Brenda had the chicken & waffles

Everybody enjoyed their food!

Now y’all know I’m going to tell the truth. 😂 If I’m eating on real plates, I need some REAL flatware! That plastic fork was fighting for its LIFE. 😩😂 If we have to do plastic, give your girl the GOOD plastic!

But technically…that might be MY fault because y’all know I have a travel flatware set and should’ve had it in my bag. 😂

Biscuits & Buns on Banks gets a YES from me! Good food, Louisiana charm, and another Black-owned business supported. 🖤⚜️

Now I’m challenging YOU: Can you support two Black-owned eateries a week?
