1 of 1 🗣️ The career of No 1. Garrett Reid of Deshler High School is forever worthy of coverage for his unprecedented achievements at the High School level for The Tigers across multiple sports.

Garrett is a 3-sport All-State First Team member, which includes Player of the Year honors for Baseball.

The POTY recognition for Baseball comes on the heels of a 2025 season in which Garrett was an integral part of a State title for Deshler, defeating Bibb County for a Blue Map.

For Football, he has been crucial in deep postseason runs, long winning streaks, and rivalry victories. He was honored All-State First Team at Receiver.

Much of the same can be said for Basketball, in which he also posted a spot on the All-State First Team. He sealed Deshler’s spot in the Final Four in Bham after a game winning steal and Free Throw.

While his High School career is behind him, Garrett is signed to Samford in Bham to continue his Baseball career, and we are absolutely sure he will make time to come home for his people of Tuscumbia.

Keep being great!

Blessed beyond measure.

I’ve never dreaded something so much. I couldn’t have asked for a better high school season. I’m grateful for the families and brothers I have built throughout this journey. This sport has brought me memories I’ll never forget, and mostly lessons which have built me into the athlete I am today. Thank you DHS and SCS for unforgettable years of my life. This is just the start, and I cannot wait to take a new step into another journey of my life.

Thank you high school baseball 🖤

See you on the sidelines w/ @samfordcheer

I’m still in disbelief I’m going to be a college cheerleader… cheer has been a part of my life for 11 years, and without it, I truly don’t know where I’d be. Cheer has taught me so many life lessons and helped me grow not only as an athlete, but as a person. I thank all of my coaches for their guidance and encouragement along the way. I also thank my parents for never allowing me to give up on myself and to all of my friends who have supported me on this journey I’m forever thankful.🥹
I’m beyond excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to say GO DOGS!!💙❤️
