Crikey! I haven’t seen this much tat since…uh…the last time I was down at my own garage.

Dodgy outfits, overkill parcel shelf displays and a lot of people making strange noises can only mean one thing: Festival Of The Unexceptional!

This year I had planned to take a really cool and unique little car that I was going to reveal at the show. In true mundane motoring fashion that obviously didn’t happen so my trusty (and oh-so-shabby) Fiat Panda Colour stepped in as the steed for the day. Anyway, more on that other secret car soon.

It was a pleasant surprise to see some proper bucket list vehicles out in full force. From the ultra tasty EG Civic to the unbelievably cack Daewoo Musso. The words “I want one of those” have never been spoken so much in such close proximity. Far too many cool cars to count but an Oldsmobile Alero can do strange things to a man.

However the best treat was catching some old flames - my old CE8 Honda Accord from last year is still in fine fettle and, as some of you may know, my P-reg Ford Ka has now left the building with its new owner Richard Porter (@sniff_petrol) who had one as his first car when they were still a mere bubble on the fuel filler cap of time. Again, the Ka will have a proper update video and send off coming soon to the channel.

Oh, and please let Josh standing excitedly next to an identical Citroen Xantia be a good catalyst to go back and watch the FOTU challenge video we did last year. Partly because I’d like it to have more views but mainly because I had to sleep in a Rover 214 Cabriolet.

FOTU really does feel like a pivotal point in the calendar for us chod enjoyers. It’s like the Chinese new year with less mythical animals and more Serck font number plates. Roll on the next one!

@gresswells_ have done a phenomenal job executing this underside restoration on a customers Japanese import Honda Accord Euro R with our signature blue Hardrace arms completing the look ✅

It doesn’t get any better than this! 💙
