Scotland’s capital is a unique blend of history and architecture, from the medieval cobbled streets of the Old Town to the neo-classical buildings of the Georgian New Town, all infused with a strong and contemporary culture that has established the city as a leader in modern arts.

FOMO
The fear of missing out.
Why do we get afraid of missing out?
There is some internal need we have that perhaps we are afraid we will miss our opportunity to fulfill if we are not there:
- A potential lover or life partner
- A wild adventure to feed our adrenaline
- Or add to our life stories to make us more interesting of a person
- Memories or inside jokes between our friend circle
- Financial struggles (remember Squid Games?)
- The pressure of YOLO — that we have to squeeze out as much as we can in this lifetime.

Discernment is an important skill to learn.
For when we are unconsciously ruled by the needs of the above, we may override our body telling us that we need rest, or the opportunity is dangerous, or it’s going to contribute to our stress rather than reduce it…

The joy of missing out.

But we aren’t missing out. Not really. For the time, care, + commitment that is directed to the self is invaluable.
Learning to feel satisfied with one’s own company is a precious skill to cultivate.
One that allows the internal system to relax + rest in peace, rather than build in anxiety + wear us out.
