Beast Mode was one of one. Don’t let the fact that he ate skittles pitchside make you think he wasn’t about that life. Ain’t nothing sweet about his game at the time. Seattle put sensors in his shoulder pads and one game’s worth of contact measured out at seven car crashes. 10,413 yards, 85 touchdowns, first team All-Pro, led the whole league in rushing TDs in back to back years. Oakland Tech, Cal, Buffalo to Seattle then Raiders at home. Beast Quake registered on an actual seismograph because a city jumped at the same time. Man’s walked into retirement with a camera and a cigar line and still got the Hall of Fame waiting. They don’t make ‘em like him no more. #seahawks #raiders #seattle #nfl #beastmode

Anthony Wint really went from catching bodies in the grid to dropping them in the cage. Undrafted in 2018 and signed by the Jets, only to play two games before getting waived. Hamilton in the CFL came next and then COVID wiped the 2020 season out entirely. 24 years old with a career that ran out of road before it even started. Bro really never gave in and turned those losses into motivation. The art of reinventing yourself. Now 8-0 as a pro, four straight first round finishes. Blitzed Matt Adams in 34 seconds on Contender Series to earn the contract, then 11 days later choked out Terrance Chatman on his UFC debut. Bow Down ain’t just a nickname fr, it’s a warning.

Megatron really transformed what it meant to be a WR. Ain’t talking about his haircut when I say that he pulled up to games faded. But when the ball was thrown up? He was the highest in the room. Men lie, women lie but numbers never cap. 1,964 yards in ‘12. Fourteen years later nobody’s touched it. 731 catches, 11,619 yards, 83 scores in nine seasons flat. Went from Yellow Jacket at Tech to gold jacket in Canton with nothing in between but bodies. Had corners in their Calvins every Sunday, no Klein. 3x All-Pro, 6x Pro Bowl. They don’t build them like that no more. @throwbacksportsflicks X @gridballers 🔥🔥 #lions #nfl #widereceiver #football #calvinjohnson

OVO Manziel went Shabang and cooked up a beat even Manesh cannot recreate. Menery met a real mercenary who came armed and sent out a hit. Had Adin Ross cheesing ringside like when Malone Lam hit the jackpot on discord. Question is, who’s next?

UFC fighters have always shown love to football. Alexandre “The Cannibal” Pantoja who went from Uber Eats to hunting in the cage to one of the iciest fighters in Suga Sean O’Malley this cross-collab has been far from random. The respect is shared as both sports demand different skills but one thing that remains a common denominator is mindset. Game truly recognizes game.
