THE best way to get better? Live play.

Here we’re working on finishing creatively against a live defense. Offense is focusing on using swing steeps, euro steps, deceleration steps, and bumps to finish around the rim.

This constraint forces the offense to solve problems.

Defense, you start on the hip of the offensive player, effectively giving them an advantage from the jump.

You miss free throws in games because you don’t practice them with pressure in the offseason

The solution? Practice with pressure.

Make two FTs in a row while your friends/teammates distract you, make noise, do anything to get you to miss

Fun & effective way to get better!

Simple, but effective.

Playing 1v1 off a closeout is one of the best ways you can play 1v1 because it translates directly to the game.

Hands high/aggressive closeout ➡️ attack the closeout
Hand down/short closeout ➡️ catch and shoot 3
Always ➡️ make quick decisions

Everyone has to know how to score off of a closeout, and everyone should work on their closeouts too!

Great family event in Southern California celebrating Father’s Day, Dad’s Birthday, nephew Hank’s 3rd birthday and Mimi & Pop Pop’s 50th wedding anniversary. As the years go by and schedules get packed, it’s hard to get everyone together at the same time. Last weekend we did it and it was everything and more. Feel so lucky to be able to do this together. Here’s to as many more of these opportunities as possible.
