THE KING IS COMING
This year’s experience at camp was one to remember with too many takeaways to name in one paragraph. From getting to spend time with the students playing games to having great conversations about what truly following Christ looks like. It is evident that God was, and still is, on the move within our youth group! With the main theme of the week being “The King is Coming,” the urgency and value of knowing what is to come was clearly presented. But as we walked through each passage, we were reminded of God’s sovereignty throughout history and our lives as well. With this in mind, we know that the glorious return of our King will also be the same nightmare the unbelievers will have to endure, and the urgency of carrying out the mission of a true believer is of the utmost importance because the THE KING IS COMING.

Goodbye #10 it’s been real ✌️

I’m always asked “why do you play a sport you hate so much?” My answer to that question is always “I love my people.” That’s what keeps me going every year, and that’s why I stayed at Columbia this year. I wouldn’t trade these guys for anything, I love them more than anything I’ve been given in this life.

Basketball has always had my heart, but Baseball never fails to be my favorite season. Not because of my love for the sport, but because of my love for my people.

To those who have been there since the beginning, Nolan, Kash and Hern, I love you, you never gave up on me no matter what path I was going down. I’ll never forget these past 6 years. I’m sorry for the person I used to be.

To Brody and David, you guys are goofballs but I’m so glad that I got to enjoy my last year alongside you. You two always found a way to smile and laugh with me no matter the circumstances and I’ll always cherish that.

To my Freshman, I wouldn’t ask for 4 different knuckleheads to have look up to me. I know I’m not the best baseball player, but I hope I was a great big brother to all of you. :)

And to Griffin, I’ve loved watching you grow this year and very glad we’ve become friends. I’m beyond proud of you bro and I will miss playing and laughing with you so much. I love you wiggle, even though sometimes I’m a douche and you should’ve punched me. The growth you’ve experienced in all ways in life this year is truly inspiring, thank you for being beside the whole ride.

Finally to my coach, thank you for giving me a chance and letting me work for the opportunities I had. Thank you for letting me be myself and feel alive, and for being not only a coach, but a man that kids could bond with, laugh, and grow. A good coach can win a game, but a great coach can change a life.
