The Harbor Drive-In Theater in National City, California, was a well-known drive-in movie theater that operated for many years. Located on Harbor Drive, it was a popular spot for locals to enjoy movies from the comfort of their cars. Drive-in theaters were especially popular in the mid-20th century, offering a unique entertainment experience.

However, like many drive-in theaters across the country, the Harbor Drive-In eventually closed. The rise of multiplex cinemas, changes in entertainment habits, and the increasing value of real estate contributed to the decline of drive-in theaters. Over time, the site of the Harbor Drive-In was repurposed for other uses such as an Amazon parking lot, reflecting the broader changes in the area and the evolving needs of the community.

Today, the Harbor Drive-In is remembered fondly by those who experienced it, but it no longer operates as a movie theater. Its closure marks the end of an era in National City’s entertainment history.
