👁️: GRIOT @griot.co probably the newest brand on the list, their debut collection “RESISTANCE,” is rooted in African culture and history. it draws inspiration from the visual language and cultural movements of the ‘60s and ‘70s, reinterpreting the spirit of resistance through a contemporary lens embedding their pieces with history, identity and storytelling. what stuck out to me was how well they presented their debut collection. not only are the pieces impressive (some real beautiful camo mind you) but the whole lookbook is equally as good and perfectly encapsulates the mood and theme of the collection. @griot.co @griot.co @griot.co @griot.co Paradice @rweinparadice they see their garments as armour of protection, expression, and evolution. rooted in transformation and self-determination, their Destiny collection turns personal struggle into wearable art. the pieces include experimental washes, graphic embosses, and branded hardware, all adding depth to the collection's meaning. what stuck out to me about this brand was the aesthetic. their visual identity is clear and perfectly complements the clothes @rweinparadice @rweinparadice @rweinparadice @rweinparadice Social Kids @socialkids.cl hailing out of the north of england, the brand is shaping up to become the face of Birmingham’s streetwear scene. their ethos is heavily rooted in community, bringing people together through events such as their block parties, social clubs and more. in an age where everyone is stuck inside, Social Kids is an important brand bringing people together outside. their vision of putting their city on the map is also admirable especially in a space dominated by brands from major cities. what sticks out to me about the brand the most is the clear identity. ran by a group of friends, they know who they are and they express that through their platforms and visual appearance whether it’s the hair, the jewellery, the styling or more. @socialkids.cl @socialkids.cl @socialkids.cl @socialkids.cl BIY @alwaysbiy the acronym stands for “Believe in Yourself” (BIY). they focus on recontextualising subjects by clashing together unexpected worlds in the most authentic
