We really need to start educating men about the correct use and application of enhancements.

I hate the stigma that comes with “black spray”

You can get a natural cut and use enhancements after to not only amplify your haircut but make it last longer.

Yes the “black spray” does wipe off if you apply it incorrectly and if you use tintations which is in a can.

But if your barber is educated in the art of cutting hair he or she will use a number of different products out today, paired with @gripmist

Let me know what your thoughts are on enhancements and does it automatically make your barber not know how to cut?

🎙️ A quick conversation with Corey Henderson about the Grip Mist shaping spray I’ve been enjoying!

Grip Mist helps hold the hair in place so I can create a clean, tight, precise shape-up. Once that line is set, the hair jumps right off with the trimmer—no need to keep combing over and over. 💈✂️

The prep work matters, too. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be breaking down how I get the hair ready so Grip Mist can do its job the right way.

And let me correct myself from the video: Grip Mist is based in Washington, D.C. Shoutout to this Black-owned company for giving me the opportunity to work with them. It’s always dope to support Black-owned businesses in the hair industry! 🙌🏾

We working, baby! 💈🔥

Shoutout to Gripness for trusting me with this product. From the sleek double-cap bottle to the scent and application, the presentation is on point. And the way it performs? That’s where the work behind the haircut matters.

Good prep makes a difference. In this video, I’m showing y’all the follow-through that helps Gripness hit the way it’s supposed to—and why that prep is part of my standard for every cut. 🎯

My guy Trey Dot has been in my chair for almost ten years. He’s a therapist, poet, artist, and somebody I respect as both a client and a friend. Listen to his reaction when that spray hits: “Ooh, that thing smell good!” 😂🙌🏾

Much love to the woman behind Gripness for creating something dope. We’re just getting started! 🚀

The exact routine for a crisp, long-lasting line up every single time ✂️🔥
If your enhancements bleed or fade fast, you’re skipping these key prep steps! Here is the breakdown:
1. Wipe hairline to remove natural oils 🧼
2. Apply grip holding spray to lock down flyaways 💦
3. Blow dry completely 💨
4. Set your initial line up 📐
5. Spray holding mist before enhancements 🔒
6. Apply color enhancements 🎨
7. Lock it in with a final spray pass 🔒🔥
Drop a 💈 if you need a tutorial on enhancement application!
