What do you do when your wedding is days away and a nor'easter is bearing down? You breathe, remember what's important and trust your team!
Thank you Lexie and Brooke (@rootedinlove_events) for fearlessly helping us make this day a reality! What nor'easter? Your dedication and perseverance made us forget there were gale force winds outside!
Speaking of gale-force winds and rain, hair spray- hair pins and impeccable application of makeup made me feel like me... but better! Thanks to Aurora (@auroramhair) and Fallon (@ctblissfulbride). Their "can do" spirit kept the morning calm and made me feel beautiful. Hair and makeup lasted all day!
Jess(@enchantedbloomsct)made me a perfect bridal bouquet and Becca(Doodled_dahlias_ct) grew the prettiest dahlias for our homemade centerpieces.
Capturing the moments? No one better than Michele Wolff (@michele.wolff.photography). She listened to what was important and delivered. Creative & an out of the box thinker, her quiet spirit made us feel special and at ease. She caught so many tender moments. Here is a small sample of what she can do in the middle of a storm!
Can't do the outdoor ceremony? No problem! Claudia at the Griswold Inn quickly pivoted to accommodate our Wine Bar ceremony into the scheduled cocktail hour! The food was amazing, the bartender (Scott?) phenomenal, and her servers made the entire afternoon feel as though we had always planned to get married there. Now when we visit, we can always remember our journey started there. (@griswoldinn)
A great reception relies on excellent food and music. Mary (@thehomekitchencatering) delivered! Food was prepared on site. She nailed it! Our Connecticut coastal menu was on point with mini crabcakes, stuffed halibut, tenderloin (to die for), roasted vegetables, pasta primavera, an autumn inspired salad, and clam chowder. Dessert was fresh baked cookies, chocolate mousse cups and the best strawberry shortcake I have ever tasted.
The Silver Arrow band kept the night alive with jazz, Motown, R and B and funk that left no one in their seats.

Embracing New England life meant leaning into the storm on our wedding day making it the best day ever!

What a wonderful way to spend Labor Day! 🥂🇬🇧🇺🇸 I had such a lovely time celebrating with the @highclerecastlegin family!

A heartfelt thank you to @adamvongootkin, @lemren555 and the entire @HighclereCastleGin team for including me and making me feel so welcome. 🫶🏽It was especially wonderful to finally meet Lord Carnarvon from @highclere_castle in person and have the opportunity to connect, share stories, and enjoy such a memorable afternoon. 🏰✨🩷
