Framing this forever from @mas.independent at the @marathonproj. Medal Monday is because of these friends.

Grateful for @stridesandstilettos to take me under her wing and introduce me to the most kind and fast runners I could ever imagine meeting in AZ. She tried a few years ago at the lululemon 10k and I was intimidated by how fast she was. I’m glad she never gave up on me, and embodies the best parts of Elphaba and Glinda to be powerful and abundantly sweet. She paced me at every one of my hard workouts this cycle. I’m so excited for her for 2026, after she was already AMAZING in 2025.

@withloverachel, from 5 AMs at the studio, to running on Wednesdays. She also pushed to add in strength training which will involve me going with her in 2026. You heard it hear first.

@may.gusssy for being my good luck charm, as we met in February, on the day I PRed the half AND when Dan and I got engaged. She’s had such a big year - in running and family, and she’s always giving it to me real, and making sure rest days are taken.

And of course, @dmcgurre. Who has traveled the world to see me during the lowest of lows in a race, to rare PR days. Thank you for encouraging me to change my training (even though I waited 2 years post you saying I should) and to see a sports psychologist this year. Both have paid off SO much. Only two more marathons until we’re married.

I wish every day could be like Saturday. Mom and Aunt @stridesandstilettos took Kara and I to @pupfestival.

I raced in my first weenie race and came in 2nd place in my heat, which is way better than my slow AF mom can say at her races.
