Thank you to everyone who came to the East Van Wisdom School: sampler. It was a special night. Alix, Lisa, and I felt very encouraged by your willingness to show up and bring the love. We are definitely inspired to offer more opportunities for us to gather, share food, ritual and stillness again, soon!

Do you know our sister-program called Grit @gritworkshops ? We created Grit 9 years ago to address the epidemic of anxiety amongst our kids - it’s all about brain-health and emotional resilience.

What does this mean for your kid starting ballet? It means we get it. It means we understand how anxiety shows up differently in kids. And it means we’ll never force them to do something they don’t feel safe doing. We’re super-happy for them to take all the time they need while we create a warm, loving environment. Experience shows that letting kids set the pace allows them to feel in control - and before long, they’ll be super eager to get in there and dance.

A girls trip is always so good for the soul. Feeding grateful to have spent time a few days on Bowen island with a longtime friend for a belated birthday celebration and it was magic. We stayed in this cozy, quaint Airbnb cottage for a few nights (thank you @kaileedeacon!) and tempting as it was to just stay home and chill… we ventured out and had an incredible morning at the decadent new spa @mistthermal at @nectaryoga, lunch at @artisaneats, delicious takeout pizza from the pub one night and then a fabulous pasta dinner at @tuscanyonbowen . So perfect! I’ll share the link to our awesome Airbnb which you must check out. Bowen is a vibe and I can’t wait to go back…

It’s graduation month at Brockton, and we are so excited to celebrate this incredible milestone with our graduates! On Tuesday, June 17th, we’ll gather at The Pipe Shop to honour the hard work, dedication, and growth our students have shown throughout their journey with us.

Brockton is dedicated to inspiring the growth of outstanding humans, and this milestone is a powerful reminder of all that our graduates have achieved — not just academically, but as kind, capable, and compassionate individuals.

We are incredibly proud of the many ways they have demonstrated integrity, curiosity, resilience, and respect through the years and we can’t wait to see how they continue to make a positive difference in the world. Let’s celebrate the outstanding humans they are and the inspiring journeys that lie ahead.

We postponed last Friday’s Sauna Ceremony with Alix @gritworkshops due to an atmospheric river…but we are back on for this coming Friday Oct 25th and we have two spots left!

Reach out if you’d like to join a small group of women exploring rituals connected to stress & anxiety, as we cold plunge and sauna cycle in a rainforest setting 🔥🧊🌲

This will be my last Sauna Ceremony until the Spring (when @earthsidemedium will hopefully co-host with me again!)
